Um, the definition of poly is more than one, not seperate entities. It's like this: a parent has a child, that child also has children. Are they all the same person/being? No, however, they are both parents. The child doesn't SURPASS the parent & never could, but is still a parent. Only believing in Christ doesn't make one a Christian. If you go back, I said AND take upon HIS name, LIVING by His example. It's not an either/or btwn works & grace; it's BOTH together. Becoming A god isn't BEING GOD
Even the JW's had sense enough to see that John ch 1 clearly claims Chist is God, that is why they inserted the letter "a" to make it conform to their belief. Read a JW version of John ch 1 then a KJ version. See what a difference it makes.
by the way, it is a nice song, but Nicole C Mullen has the best version.
@SgtDemkheive Why is it an "attack" to point out that LDS is not Christian. Being a Christian means believing in the trinity. If you don't believe it and yet worship Christ, you are a polytheist. That is forbidden by the 1st commandment. My LDS friends lovingly tell me that I am not going to the "highest heaven" (or what ever its called) because I am not Mormon. Is that an "attack" ?
@lancegoebel One, I'm sorry you're "Mormon" friends have told you which heaven you're going to, since they really don't know b/c they're not the ones who will decide. Second, we ARE Christians b/c to be one you have to believe Christ is the Savior of the world and willingly take upon His name, meaning you agree to live life by His example. Not believing in the trinity doesn't make us polytheists b/c we don't worship multiple gods, we just believe they're seperate entities.
@ogbeca17 If Non Mormans are going to heaven, then there was no need for J. Smith. M. Luther corrected the church w/o claiming special revelation. He used the text that God gave us. Satan believes Jesus is the Saviour, does that make him a Christian? Separate entities is the definition of POLY.
To be Christian has nothing to do with WORKS, those come naturally.
Satan told 1 lie to A&E, they could become gods, what other religions do you know of that believe that they can become gods?
some dude attacked my belief in Christ over the internet. I valiantly defended myself and my religion but i have that horrible conflicting feeling. I listen to this, remember that Christ loves everyone even those that hate Him and i forgive that guy. I feel alot better. :) (i am LDS)
Tienes una voz maravillosa, bendito Dios por tener dentro de su redil personas como tu alabandolo con una voz de angel como la tuya, felicidades y adelante, bendiciones.
Very nice music, pictures & words. Thanks. Job doubted why he did good things, but received bad ones in return. Our logic says what we give will we get. He didn't understand it. He knew God, but not Satan. So, he needed God, Who's good in his belief. for adjustment to what he'd done. No one could help him. He couldn't help anyone. God only said he was righteous. He redeemed himself. Redemption is Private & Personal. He trusted in his deeds that he could live by. That's the dept of the matter.
when you look in the mirror.you can see behind you. if there are any signs that jesus talked about. then keep moving forward. but if there are no signs of what jesus talked about, then repent for the kingdom is at hand. jesus only said what the Father told him to say. so if you are listening to anything that man told you, make sure you match it to scripture. so you do not go to hell with them.
when God created jesus. from himself. he became as man. that is why God the father called him his first begotten son. when God created adam, he created adam from dirt or dust. that is why as man we return to dust. but jesus returned to the Father. there is a prayer that i have. that one day. who ever calls himself a christian, would start doing what jesus said to do. and not say that they are mormon or christian. these signs shall follow them that believe.
This is my favorite song about our king Jesus Christ.. If it wasn't him we won't able to repent from our sins and also die on the cross for each and one of us...
I have a question for Christians in general and the love Christ shows for "dying for everyone's sins."
Why would God need to sacrifice Himself so that He can rejoin Himself to change a rule He made Himself? And why are Christians so focused on that aspect rather than the actual love and respect Christ taught and did?
By the way, I'm asking this coming from a Christian school and degree in theology and philosophy and I mean no offense.
God is 'relational' and is three persons as one God. St. Paul calls this a 'sacred mystery' God the Father so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (to satisfy His demand for His perfect law & holiness that we all fall short of & in so doing He revealed His love for those created in His own image who fell when they believed satan's lie > that we could be like God > and died spiritually - seperated from God)
satans lie was that he could redeem us from the fall without the sacrifice that Christ made in breaking the bands of death and atoning for our sins. The old something for nothing lie.
We can be baptized and have our lives as sinners washed away and receive the gift of the holy ghost to help us stay clean by helping us make right decisions. If we continue and endure in repentance after baptism we will be clean and be able to return to live with Him. It's amazing that God has revealed all of this thousands of years ago when his first children were on the earth, he wants us all to make it back. I have a personal testimony of this; it's very beautiful to me.
So God made a way by sending His firstborn here on earth to take on such a responsibility. If we have faith in Jesus Christ, we can obtain the strength and courage He used to overcome that dark hour in the Garden and on the cross. We can repent and change our lives and find the peace and joy God wants us to have.
He not only did this to help comfort us and guide us with His spirit, but he also provided a way for us as unclean spirit children of our Heavenly Father, to be able to return to live with Him.
God has a clean house, we lived there with him before coming here. We left so we could learn and explore and play, but we got really dirty, and we can't come back in His house unless we're clean or we'll make his house dirty as well.
What I mean is when Jesus suffered in the garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross, he suffered every sin, every pain, all things we're suffer in this life he bore and the pain was so great that he bled from every pore. He became our counsellor because he was the only one who knows what we suffer. He knows what we're going through every moment of our lives because of this great sacrifice.
@colli274 I'm not sure if anyone answered this, so I'll try to share what I believe: I really think that "Jesus dying for everyone's sins" and the "actual love and respect Christ taught and did" are the same thing.
@zedrev01 The apostles were followers of Christ and members of His Church. There is a reason why the Mormons refer to their Church as The Church of Jesus Christ.
oh god what a song.....its so pure I really love it. there are lots of kind of songs that they could call them cristhian songs but they really not for God, he wouldnt reasive that, it has to be pure, if we really believe there is a real GOD then our song should be just for him and only for him, it has to come from the heart... oh what an inspiration..nice job
it is a blessing from god having a voice like this! and its a way of letting the world no how one feels about our God..And I think that the lord god would love to here this song in this way of reverace.
This is such a Beautiful Hymn ! Why does Anyone think that it can be sung in this fashion and still retain the Grandur of the real one ??? It is NOT about the singer / performer ! It is about the mystery of God The Almighty and what he has done for us fallen beings ! Sensuual singing may be pretty, but I wonder at the "artists" intention here.
