One question, and if you can be so kind of answering anybody with experience when you are doing short turns does it matter the ski you are whering i use rental skis that i get from the store or do you need a specific ski to do this movments !?
You must pay attention on relaxing the muscule tension before changing the edges.
You can try nice round middle radius paralell turn on a steep slope with large vertical movement. Make this turns softly! After then make the raduius even shorter, but the feeling of the movement must stay calm, soft.
Very good ski drills. Shows that it is not just about carving. The hopping and twisting are important elements for most advanced skiers. Ideally, however, a totally carved turn would be sought. But I am not sure that a totally carved turn gives you enough speed control in short radius turns. Most skiers seem to use pushing and sliding to control speed more than carving for short radius turns.
I find my short turns are just not quite there... unless I'm listening to the rhythmic thumping of techno.

My problem with short turns is that I use my heels too much. Are there any suggestions for exercises or just any tips?

You should use more pressure on the toes. She looks as she was doing the turn with her heels.

Excellent video. Certainly shows the technique. I liked the roller blade section.
