  • Seriously, I listen to many black people music, but in this song I really can understand what he is saying !!!I`m not trying to be rasism.

  • What the FUUUUUCK!!!!! For reals!! This song should be NUMBER ONE on the charts for a long time! This song is perfectly made!! Long live Talib Kweli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gives me a jazzy 50's feel <333

  • @Eddie5012

Part of the instrumental for this song was taken from the song "Mama Said" by The Shirelles which came out in the 60's, so that explains the feeling lol.

  • 25 people have no taste for music

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!

  • Luv it! Estelle is the beautiful (voice & presence)icing on the cake here, yawl....

  • w w w.thenoblequran.c o m

  • Best song I've heard in a very long time.

  • NICE!

  • any real talib kweli fans will hate on this shit. this ain't even on "quality" level and that's pretty sad... look i'm accepting that there will never be another kweli like reflection eternal and blackstar, he came close on eardrum, which was good, he recycling lyrics now, if you been listenin for a while he already said this shit years ago...

  • Beat makes me bounce a little

  • Love the typography.

  • Skins dean's list

  • I swear to god VEVO, if you touch her...

  • I ask cuz I'm not sure...

  • I heard this song in a Grey's Anatomy :) Now I listen to Estelle and Talib Kweli all the time :D

  • 0:01 so everyone can skip the fucking add.

  • i quit listening to the radio a long time ago i go to Xm on Directv and listen to classics and they play a lot of songs u hear underground u wont hear on the radio

  • Hi-Tek did it again. Sick beat. Not extremely deep lyrics on Kweli's part, but love the style of the song and vid.

  • aint nothing but a party ya'll. what a great tune!

  • Talib is one of the most underrated lyrical monsterss , not saying he doesent have a huge anbase but he ef deserves more shine

  • 22 soulja boy fan's doesn't like that.

  • mama said mama said !!! :P

  • @mayoxful theres another song with the same as the start cant remember it

  • people are such sheep, underground or aboveground. listen to this shit. it sounds barely any better than the shit on the radio, except for the beat sucks more and the rhymes are cleaner. ive loved kweli since the first reflection eternal, but there is no denying that he's fell off cause all his lines are super recycled

  • @MrAndresvelez People are sheep, yup you got that right. You are clearly just being a critic for the sake of it. You can say this song is not that great fine, but it is definitely better than the shit on the radio, its more organic and not as gimmicky.

If you think talib's lines are recycled then you clearly have not taken to listen to this album. It's the same intricate, daring, unpretentious music we love and expect from these guys quit trippin

  • @MrAndresvelez people who nowadays say "people are sheep" with no real reasoning are the actual sheep...critisizin everything 4 no apparent reason is the latest trend...u such a follower...

  • A beautiful mix of classic 50s and modern music.

  • It's funny because on another album, this would be highlight of the record. RPM is so good, this song only ranks around 8th on my favorites.

  • i seriously dont understand how this isnt huge!

  • estelle i love you

  • Just saw it on MTV Live.

  • really fun motion graphics :)

  • Great song!

    Lovvveee Estelle

Only thing they know whats up about it trance music and premier league soccer...

  • @ShutTheFuckUp0809

beatles, rolling stones , led zeppelin, queen , pink floyd, depeche mode , dire straits, genesis, muse , radiohead, iron maden , coldplay , def leppard.

just to name a few !! i love hiphop , still i'm not that narrow minded

  • @stonernl oasis

  • Comment removed

  • loooooove iiit

  • got this on the early mourning signs mixtape, was this on RPM? havent copped it yet

  • @JDev82 YEAH, IT IS

  • WHY cant people just listen 2 da freakin song and stop talkin bout whos better or worce then who they are bumpin at the moment

  • i love this song BRUTHA

  • why isn't this song more popular?

  • @ehtx1 these white people really ruined hip hop. Take offense if your white. but everyone knows its true....

  • @ShutTheFuckUp0809 check out statik selektah.. best white producer in US at the moment

  • @ehtx1 In reality...hiphop fans have changed... Talib may see 2mil ppl on tour but only 300k will go BUY the album....so why would a label put money in that ....its not business minded to put money behind someone whos fans dont actually buy the merch ...

  • @ehtx1 I admit I hate the radio as well, not so much because they play songs like drake and lil wayne but because they play the same set of like 20 songs over and over. Drake isn't actually a bad artist, I like his music so putting him in the same category as Soulja Boy is a compliment to Soulja Boy and an epic diss to the amazing work that drake puts out. This song is pretty great though, I like the jazz theme that it's got going(:

  • @ehtx1 DOOM doesn't really represent a lot of what Kweli and reflection eternal (in their own) do though. Not saying he isn't sick

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN bcuz people don't recognize talent, they only listen to what the radio tells them to listen to.

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN : Real music has gone underground. They always play the same garbage on the radio, on tv and at the clubs. So people only know what the media allows them to hear. We (real music lovers) need to start calling our radio stations etc and requesting this type of music. Maybe then will the world hear it and these true musicians can get the recognition they deserve.

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN

Because certain artists(who I won't name) have a stranglehold on the industry.

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN this makes this song even more of a rare gem ;) but y'know, real talent will always be around, even without the ludicrous amounts of money made by the likes of the mainstream hip hoppers =)

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN i agree!!!!!

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN Because idiots think Justin Bieber is real music.

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN because it's shit? that's my guess

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN because most popular songs suck? lol

  • @BR0OKLYNNNN Ain't everybody got somebody to see when they get home..lol!

  • i <3 talib kweli

  • ***** talk bout a 10 star song ! *****

  • he's up there with Nas, Ghostface, Andre 3000, E40, Ras Kass, and me!!

  • If you like kweli you would like Sudan

  • this sounds so forced lol

  • 1st time ive seen talib dance lol

  • I swear man niggas act as if hip hop is talent show, if it was lil wayne and all the pop stars would get props music is music niggas need to chll on this pop star shit man

  • Talib Kweli top 5 dead or alive..

  • @AJBHD Sounds like swing or big band

  • i like this song

  • Right from the soul

  • true Emcee no doubt true Hip Hop clip no booty shaking just elegant people the way it should be

  • Love them!!!

  • estelle has a beautiful voice

  • the video could be better....but i still love this song!♥

  • Myt be the best cut on the album.........

  • @AJames3362 yeah i prefer just begun and strangers tho and back again is amazing

  • @Leezo2010 yeah just begun is my joint specially cuz of jcole and bun b ripped strangers, but some of the beats on there werent hittin so hard like that song i think its called "city playgrounds"------weak.....but that Bilal song was tyt too....

  • @AJames3362 yeah bilals cool, love waitin for the dj

  • @AJames3362 J Cole Sucks man just my opinion he's not MC material too commercial

  • @anice121 dude or whoever you are is fuckin insane......dude talks about real shit.....he reps his town talks about growin up and all that good shit.........U obviously cant even interpret real hip hop, specifically the deep lyrics....

  • @AJames3362 lol so you're saying a rookie like J Cole is more ral that Talibn Kweli, Mos and Common sense ? cause thats the shit im on that real hip hop and i've been on that since the 90's so i doubt you can intepret what i can from them into what you interpret from that Commercial loser J Cole lol it gets no realer than Blackstar kid, the deeper lyrics come from the underground take note son lol

  • @anice121 theres way deeper emcees than mos, kweli and common bro. probably not j. cole, how ever J. Cole is impressing me a lot more at the moment than kweli or Common are. those two are barely at the level they use to be.

  • @dilated1990 lol Cole is commercal man he cant even be himself at the roc lol who dat ? that shit is lame Kweli and Common dont impress cause they're you've fallen to the pop bug, thats the realist shit in the game common and kweli are top 5 dead or alive name someone better i can name 5 niggas better than cole, lupe, wale, blu, illa j and aseop rock

  • @anice121 fallen to the pop bug? wats wrong wit Who Dat, atleast j. coles got attitude and energy. just coz its catchy, doesnt mean its pop. it reminds me of When I B On Da MIc by rakim in its attitude

kweli is less than impressive, have you heard his flow these days? eardrum and revs per min, his flow is empty compared to his earlier works. his best verse in the last 3 years was his History verse in my opinion. common, i dont know wat happened to him, Universal Mind Control?

  • @dilated1990 lol what do you mean his flow has fallen off, uhh unless he goes commercial he's not getting any play lol kweli has far from fallen off lol and universal mind control was commons last album his movie album was of the ricter lol also dont ever compare cole to rakim he is an MC cole is not, who dat is tight ? whats it about , whats the concept ? real music lives in few MC's energy and all that shit means nothing what does that shit have to do with music ? its art not a talent show

  • @anice121 the concept? your kidding? you really think that shallowly of hip hop, that you are trying to define it that way? it takes more than that. art in general takes more than that.

who dat is a simple 'concept', just ego rap, you can agree?

question: do you think Mos Defs verse on Oh No, which is similar bragging rap(barely impressive too IMO), is mos trying to be commercial?

  • @dilated1990 lol i didnt define it lol if you check your comment you're the one that states, "its about energy and attitude lol if it was all about that some of the best MC's wouldnt be underground my friend you think shallowly of it, when i hear J Cole, Drake, or kudi all i hear are three commercial cats as for Mos he's already defined so that matters not you know his purpose he's no sellout, who dat is an idiot song thats a radio buzz , also how can it take more than art if thats what it is ?

  • @anice121 how is that defining it? energy and attitude are how we perceive everything, im just saying that the energy I feel from Who Dat is nice, compared to wat I hear from kweli these days. mc's are underground for that particular reason btw, mc's in the mainstream present an energy that the majority like. its called entertainment.

as for radio buzz, Hot Thing, Lock Shit Down by kweli come under that category to me. so Mos can spit so called wack radio shit you hate n it doesnt matter

  • @anice121 i guess I dont see music as commercial or underground, artist or sell out. I see it as entertainment or art, either one is kool to me, if I can feel they have passion in their what they are doing, I cant knock it.

personally I feel that in J. Cole and a bunch of other mainstreams cats, Lil Wayne even. Kweli I can a bit but not as much as I use to.

I barely listen to j. cole, wayne and such anyway, but they still impress me. Shine by Pharoahe Monch is my joint right now haha

  • @dilated1990 you know i just see people as commercial when they change their sound for the good of the company you know thats why i dig "some" artist lil wayne used to impress but shit man how low can you fall from your old shit ? monch is the truth man another underated MC man

  • @anice121 whatever dude.......imma fuckin hip hop golden era (aka early 90s pretty much) hip hop head nigga and I luv that shit....."boom, shake the room" by fresh prince, "jump" by kriss kross, "new york state of mind" by nas, fuckin raekwon and ghostface "criminology", nigga im all about that shit......just becaue j.cole is on a label wit jay z dont mean he too commercial.......

  • @AJames3362 lol name a non commercial artist under a commercial label

  • @anice121 isnt Common on GOOD music with Kanye?

  • @AJames3362 true but..kanye keeps hope alive man Jay-z is a fuckin sellout all the way man he lost all his true dignity...another thing commom "can" and does control his career

  • @anice121 yea jayz did kinda sellout on that last album lol.....but u seem like cool dude.....we just got different opinions bout the industry thats all.....And i respect wut u sayin 2 yo.....but yea I mean I fuck wit niggas like Kweli, Common, Yeezy (the old kanye is classic for real...wish he would come back wit dat shit..) Andre 3 stacks u kno.......but yea i feel u i just disagree wit some of your opionions but its cool....

  • @AJames3362 im a cole fan man only when he's doing his thing and not jumping in for the media like that loser BOB and Drake you know ? there are a lot of ill rappers like snoop and yeah yeezy some just sellout to me kid you know i respect your opinions as well man Jay and Ross are the ultimate sellouts to me man but shit what can you do about it

  • @anice121 well BOB just had a wack album period. lmfao...wasnt feelin that shit at all....but Drake on the other hand, lyrically hes dope, his production is phonemenal, and u gotta admit the nigga can sing. But yea him and the whole young money crew all they talk bout is money, gettin hoes, trappin and shit...and they cocky as fuck.

  • @anice121 part 2: Like lil wayne used to be the illest muthafucka out there....but after the carter 3 and autotune, that nigga took a whole new directtion....imean like he still famous and shit, but I take him less seriously than i used to nah mean?

  • @AJames3362 i have to say after the carter he got out of hand lol you remember i bring it back to the bottom of the map ? that shit was bannanas lol people dig him more than usual lol man he's garbage to me kid lol after they names him #1 on that list he felt he was god which he's not to me he's not the best from cash money

  • @anice121 well I mean wayne and Drake are the best artists on young money lyrically, but I think every body els on their pretty lame exept maybe twist, gudda and miss nicki......but other than that they really aint that much good rappers.......and as far as commercial them niggas take the meaning of that word to the max lmfao

  • @AJames3362 lol @ drake and lil wayne their lyrics can barely stand up to anyones but thei the bset at their label lol as for minaj you really think shes tight compred to lauryn hill or foxy ? yeah but i will say then when it comes to commercial shit Ym does take the cake

  • @anice121 part 1 lol but dude you cant automatically assume that Im trying to compare the people I refer to lmao, but if I were to compare nikki to lets say the old skool lil kim she prolly couldnt stand a chance. I mean as far as Drake he just makes good music to me....like he mixes the rnb with hip hop, but he doesnt do it in a "ghetto" way if u myt say lol....

  • @AJames3362 lol nikki minja is shit lol and evrond in southside thinks that lol i compar her to like true MC's like lauryn hill peopl ethat "actually" have lyrics man come on i love the new school but we refrence the old cause of bullshit records kid ...drake to me is good in r&b terms but... if he wasnt a rich cat he wouldnt stand a chance neither would J cole if some of these cats like roth, charles hamilton, mr. fab, blu came into play they would eat them out of buisness

  • @anice121 part 2 But I understand who the real niggas in the game are....Talib, Common, Andre 3 stax, Bun B, Jeezy, and J. Cole even (lol) but I mean as far as quality music man I think Drake is the truth but Ill accept any opinion you have on that, homie.....

  • @AJames3362 i really dont see how jeezy is real man all he does is talk abuot shit he did lol hes kind of a loser to me but im relaying to you "my" opinions drake is the truth ? lol the only one i know who is the truth is common, maybe lupe he just doesnt rap about relavent shit man ...lol ym is very commercial and all of those cats couldnt breathe MC air if it werent about money and whos hot

  • @anice121 i almost made multiple account to thumbs you up to highest rated comment.... Then my blackness kicked i and i though nigga fuck that! Anyways i couldnt agree wid u more.

  • @Hache2KMusic hey one will do the trick my man lol thumbs up to you

  • @anice121 read the other part first but this part 2: as a matter of fact I really dont like that "who dat" shit bruh.....but his songs like "Can I live", "I get up", and "last call" go hard as fuck.......I mean dope beats and lyrics.....nigga u have to seriously listen to all of his shit b4 u can say the nigga 2 commercial for real.....and this aint outta hate man, its just givin respect were its due dude...

  • @AJames3362 lol nah his other shit is good but..why sell out your sound ? nigga j cole is talented its tracks and niggas like jay that makes him change his sound lol remember the "crossover ? EPMD ? control my career so i could vever get stranded ? this kid really belongs under a label that will let me do his thing and not no one elses
