No, Curse of Elements will not stick, it will wipe off him as soon as the drakes come up. However, there is a way to get CoE back on him, if you have a lock about to die in Phase 3, have them fly straight at Malygos and leave Vehicle, they can then spam CoE onto Maly and it's a much easier kill.

it's grid, easy addon to use (holy priest myself) really nice since you can select stuff like magic debuffs on him, so you know when to debuff when you see a blue icon on the raiditems, instead of hovering over the raidframe to see if you can dispell it.. for example magic debuff is blue, diseases are red. so i know when to dispell it.. really good addon imo and better then blizzard raidframes for sure... )

Super man whit that tactic we hitted 3 th phase whit 2 min 15 sec only thing we did acculy diff is that we used 4 healers instead of 5 in phase 3 and we had no trouble keeping ppl up whit no shields :)

its possible to keep a 1 combo - 2 combo - 1 combo - 2 combo rotation, by waiting after you send a 2 combo dot until you have ~90 energy and then quickly going 1-2-1-1-2. This alows you to stack even more debuffs in shorter periods of time, however it requires precise timing, skill and low latency.

Usually, just to be sure, I usually do a 1 combo - 2 combo - 2 combo - 1 combo - 2 combo - 2 combo, etc. As this allows more time to get the 90 energy and compensates for latency

Why would anyone PUG a fight like this?

Only players who can follow directions and have a few good raid leaders will succeed in any PUG.

Actually let me rephrase... PUGs almost 100% of the time end in failure anyone who expects anything besides that is fooling themselves.

This is a strategy best executed with a capable party.

PUGs fail because there are always players in them who dont listen, dont care, or whatever. It is possible to get a fully succesful PUG, I was once able to PUG BT with a group that was able to get all the way to Shade without a wipe and was able to down Teron Gorefiend. Still though, what Fran said is true.

This is a good strat, though I found the strat used by alpha in their speed kill much more elegant. They gathered up three sparks and killed em with maly at about 51%, then blew hero and burned the boss to nearly dead. When phase three started they pretty much didn't have to worry about anything but the dragon dps rotation

Im not in best in slot at all, but I know for a fact that im a damn good rogue.

Max ive ever hit on an envenom with 5DP stack and 5 Combo Point raid buffs without the malygos or thaddius buffs was AROUND 7k to 8k. With the malygos buffs I got a 3 stack once and hit for 27k

yeah theres no way you can hit 11k on a raid boss with just your buffs.

there is an other tactic, no melee, and dont use the sparks in phase 1 and use al at once when he flyes to the air, and u can get it down to around 5% in that tiem, and at phase3 u just dps down the rest...

Look up Ciderhelm on the US armory. He's on Garrosh server in the guild Eventide. But 99% of the time, the armory won't help you if you're looking for his DPS gear. He's mainly a tank.

As far as the locks are concerned... its possible to apply CoE when the raid reaches its maximum height after the floor breaks apart in transition from P2->P3. Sacrificing the lock isn't necessary.

Sacrificing the warlock might not be necessary. In 10-man, Lore is saying his guild applies Curse of Elements at the P1 -> P2 transition and it sticks. Just a heads up!

As a lock I always load him up with dots just before he flys off. They continue to tick this would mean that CoE should stay given it lasts 5min. Dont think you need to sacrifice the lock.
