I'm superpissed I missed this party! I spent almost every Saturday there. Grrrr To see David Dupino again wud have been a real hoot!!! He did Trax on Tuesdays too. Dammit how cud I miss this??? Never again will I miss this kinda stuff. I need a drink . Lmao
all of you need to keep an eye out for my upcoming documentary on the origins of house music. yes started in chicago, then NY got a grip of it and then went global. as seen through the eyes of one who lived it!!
You don't know what you're talking about. In other words, YOU don't know a DAMN THING about the History of House Music and where the Movement started. It started in my hometown (NYC). I was a regular at the Paradise Garage from Summer of 1979 til the club closed on 9/28/1987. I'm one of the GODFATHERS OF HOUSE MUSIC PARTONS/DANCERS. Like TheDan1987m said: YOU NEED TO EDUCATE YOURSELF before you make asinine comments like you did.
@StephenS1974UK No My Brother.....YOU should know your House Music. You can disagree all you want, BUT you're VERY WRONG. As one of the Godfathers of ALL Househeads in the world, I know MORE about House Music and the beginning a lot more than you do. I'll even take YOU to school. So check yourself. Peace!
@CatDaddyBKNY My brother, wherever House Music started we should all be thankful. Consider youself blessed to be part of the movement. I'm from SF, Ca and I give props to NYC for House Music artists, the club scene and for the whole Hip Hop culture.
Love it this tribute I just hate that I missed it :(. What is so funny is that kids today have no idea why those guys are painted like that :) I always tell them you had to be there to understand.
I've really gotta appologise 4 the uk garage DUDE . . if u was 16 in 1991 in uk . . none other than the likes of Jonathon SPOONY Dj, co founder of the Dream Team was throwin out PARADISE GARAGE . . North/ East London Establishments!!!! education ))))))
Dude you are a uneducated Jackass. You cleary have no ideal of house music its foundation or its history. I Am from New York and have partied in the Paradise Garage. I also have work in several clubs including, Jousance, Le Jardin, the Costellation and Tribecas. While I have great respect for the Ministry of Sound for keep the paradise garage sound alive and among other things. You on the other hand, portrayed yourself as a embarrassment to the UK's music scene.
@EdoubleDb31 Ha ha ha...what a joker. Stick to listening to "Clubland Anthems 6" on the crappy sound system of your Vauxhall Corsa. Don't comment on stuff you can't hope to understand !
This is an awsome post. Did the paradise garage thing, The Loft thing, Infinities, Jousance. The disco era is the greatest, especially when you can get that many people from all walks of life dancing and carying on without a care in the world. All I can say is Outstanding. And I think this is a perfect song for the garage crowed, You have manage to capture a snapshot of the disco era perfectly. Congrats
This video is so put together! Congrats and thank you - you captured it and using IMAGINATION shelter remix as the backing track is outstanding. Watching Quentin Harris work is always great. Love it. Ooh and Taana Gardner track brings back those Garage memories!!! work!!!
Great tunes gladys sounds fierce as always. Was fortunate enough as a uk soul fan to go to the legendary paradise garage in the 80's and the best disco i ever been too EVER. Like going to church but much more uplifting. I know there is a new film about PG showing at gay film festivals. What happened to the previous movie about PG came out a few years ago. Did it ever come out on DVd?

please educate yourself before you make comments like this. Garage music was founded in the 'paradise garage' club before it made it's way to the UK.
