I used to go to ska parties on a squatted farm ,in a barn every week on a friday up to 2001. The biggest underground party movement in europe through the 90's.. Which included Proper and original ska nights. But you know what, there was always 1 , 2 or 3 madness tunes at some point.. So to any music snob who whines ' this isnt ska' clearly hasnt been to an underground ska partty at 4 am , having it large to baggy trousers and the like.!! i pitty the fools

Yes Madness is pure and absolute MADNESS (bunch of crazy, talented oddballs), nevertheless- this is 2Tone- and 2Tone is SKA- just a different wave and style (but still formed and influenced by the originators of SKA). Check your history of SKA music and forget about worthless arguments as to what is or what isn't 'real' SKA.
