I actually don't think she's a young Mahalia at all. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not dissin' her. This girl has a great voice. Her tones are beautiful, but unless something seriously changes she not cut out for singin' this kinda Gospel Music. She could be a Tracy Chapman or a Joan Armitrading in the making, but not a Mahalia, she simply don't have the range.
