  • If you dont know the pikes push against each other. One sides fall. We back off and push again. It is competative and there is pride in who can push the most. Its hard, sweaty work but adds to the fun and comraderie. At the end of the day(hate that term) we end up in a jolly good p up. I really think everyone should try it once.

  • wtf pikes were making a tee pee

  • Im joining the ECWS in May as a Musketeer but still looking for a good Regiment to join.

  • Been thinking about joining to XVII century reenactment group. I'm more in Medieval warfare but also like XVI- XVII century warfare from European countries like Italian wars, Landsknechts of Holy Roman Empire, Spanish Tercios it's beautiful warfare and rapid evolution of weapons.

  • May all honor the King's army! Fuck parliament!

  • Briliant, great video I find the English Civil War very interesting. I've done American Civil War reenacting and enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for sharing this video...

  • I think Charles lost because he fled London. London was where the money was.

  • @MrNayl0r it all came crumbling down after bristol was lost as they had no way of supplying their forces as well as the new model army, bristol being one of the 3 major ports of the country at the time

  • @MrNayl0r there are so many reastion why he lost and ifact Parlimment lost

for one thing alone we live in a Monarch nor a republic

  • Maybe things wouldn't have gone so badly for England is Cromwell's forces were made up of old fat tossers.

But hey, Cromwell's Puritan forces were virgins too, so there's some historical accuracy in this vid.

  • Also at least Cromwell knew what he was doing. Unlike charles he, appointed an expert to command the parliamentarian army whilst Charles I took charge himself.

  • I guess there is some truth in the "YouTube retard" theory.

    M.

  • Shut up jew what you know about british history

Were "virgins too" you know how that ridicolous sound? Pff realy comment something of worth instead of this shit

  • LOOK AT THOSE NECKBEARDS GO.

  • Fuck off! just cus u cant do it, cunt

  • I have a question:

Are the sealed knot battles the like that the "fallen" keep laying on the ground or aren't there any "dead"? ^^ I asc because I've never seen some "corpses" in these vidios.

    Greets :D

  • some times but they only die for like 1 minute

  • nice....ist the in the 1500 hundrets or?? nice pikiniere...

  • BerserkJheova- Idiot* Learn about your country and its lack of democracy. I pity you. Your bullshit isn't worth a debate

  • We live near Wicksteed Park, Kettering. The sealed Knot has done a few battles here. We got cornered in the pub by one of their roundheads who kept going on and on about clever Adolf Hitler was.

  • 1 idiot among thousands o well i guess all your family and freinds are perfect<<<<<<

  • I've got family from exactly that area of kettering, Barton seagrave actually and I've seen a few reenactments by the sealed knot. I'm south African

  • To be fair to the Sealed Knot it is not really a re-enactment society. In fact amongst real re-enactors it's a bit of a joke. What it is a social club that does BIG battles and it does that pretty well. In order to do that it needs a big membership so it stands to reason that it will end up recruiting from both the extreme right and the extreme left. The Sealed Knot does not really care nor do they give a stuff about historical accuracy so long as they make up the numbers.

  • so its for different people then. Yours is for those who enjoy doing everything anally to make sure it is perfect. Mine is for people who enjoy socialising, and at the same time providing a spectacle, and a little education.

  • there homophobic to which is why i left. there like the nazy party at play

  • I went to this muster at Bennets Farm. I remember the idiot dressed as a covenanter in the beet tent trying to start several fights, and some racsist in a red coat calling me a yid. Not bother with them since

  • i have never been in a beet tent

  • Not very much to do with either history or re-enactment. More like sumo with sticks

  • What you don't see in this clip is the "point of pike" manoeuvre which has opposing pike units advancing with pikes levelled. Also, during the push it wasn't impossible that the pikes would raise and the situation would degenerate into a melee. Furthermore, there needs to be an element of competition between pike blocks to maintain rivalry, so although the push isn't the most consistently credible action, it's worth doing.

  • @3rdpara then you have little knowledge of british history

  • got any more vids of this battle, especially those magnificent yellow coated musketeers :-)

  • Very weird, I never knew that people reenacted this period.

  • ah, wonderful!!! i love the period, and it´s lovely to see that people are interested in keeping this alive! all my love to you!

  • Thanks for your interest I agree with you I love this period - particularly since i live in Worcester where the real fighting took place.

  • you are very welcome^^

åh, nice! if I lived in England I would join the english civil war society for sure!!! have some more videos about the 17th century..? ;)

  • Not yet its near the end of the season now (winter comes on with more rain) Will have to wait until next year Where do you live? The society you would want would be the Sealed Knot society. Would you be a royalist or parliamentarian?

  • @andrewWORCESTER lol there was alot of "real fighting" in many more places than just worcester i can assure you

  • @celestaravenna Will you be coming. You will get a whole new bunch of friends. I promise!
