He sounds so good because he studied in a conservatory,worked on his voice,graduated with a degree in music and can sing in the classical type of genre music which I have the greatest respect for.Mr. Groban does not need a million sounds or back up singers to help him because he can carry on the song by himself and the orchestra is all he needs(drums,etc).He is one of the few who can sing live as good as on his CD and the message for this song is wonderful!It brings the spirit of the holidays!

I'm 15, and my mom still writes "To Katie, From Santa" on my presents. I've known he wasn't real since I was 6, but there was a Saint Nicholas who handed out presents to young children. He didn't break into their houses, but he showed generosity and kindness. Also, I believe parents should tell their children that Santa Claus exists because they know that if they're nice and kind, good things will happen in return. However, they should eventually be told he's now the spirit of Christmas.

@Rilan11 The truth is, kids don't understand the 'subtle figurative stuff'--that's why Santa exists. He is the very literal metaphor that young children can relate to and understand. Would you have understood if your mom said to you 'Santa is the embodiment of love and Christmas spirit' when you were five? Probably not. But believing in Santa, even for a little while, was worth it, and there's still something so very magical about Christmas, something that's not there any other day of the year.

As I have gotten older, the meaning of XMAS has changed meanings to be about the possibility of the impossible & the warmth of the Holiday Season.
