  • how can u learn this?

  • @wieserd

He's a savant. He didn't learn to do this.

  • this is great. But I do want you all to be aware that there are magic tricks that allow you to do this samething....unfortunately

  • Best forger in the world!

  • @ATouchOfMagic88

Do you remember the words as they are exactly on the page or do you visualize pictures?

  • @ATouchOfMagic88

Do you remember the words as they are exactly on the page or do you visualize pictures?

  • how in hell is this possible?

  • @ronaldreika

He's a savant. Think of it like this ->

In his brain the function that allows memory is on hyper-drive at the cost of taking the power from somewhere else.

  • not only does he remember almost exact things he can draw perfectly

  • I guess it's all about attention. He doesn't care about anything else. So I guess we can all be like him, especially cause when we learn concentrated and relaxed we can remember the position of a word on a page and if we focus hard enough we can even remember entire paragraphs (aproximately, of course). I think this can be trained ... the key is, probably, relaxation. I shall surely give it a relaxed and joyful try :)

  • whoa, wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf if i could unlock my brain olike that... i'd memorize all my school text books and sleep thru class until exam and just write what i saw in the books xD

  • That's fucking amazing.

I have eidetic memory as well, but it's of course not as extreme. I can just remember where information is situated on a page, stuff like that. It helps with tests I haven't studied for enough.

  • That's impressive!

  • wow, i wish i could do that too!

    im amazed.

  • It it interesting how the brain is able to process things.

He is also a talented artist.

  • im speechless

  • I wish I had his talent!

  • This video is so cool! cause he has photographic memory and he just look at a buliding ad draw the right amount of window :)

  • actually his talent isn't his memorization but his drawning skills.. xD

  • This guy is amazing

  • I'm fifteen and I used to think I had a photographic memory. Now I think I must have a 'recording memory' , if such a thing exists. I have perfect pitch - where you can hear a musical note and instantly name it without seeing the keyboard, so I am great at music - also I can remember almost everything someone says or what I read in a book - however I am rubbish at remembering faces or what people were wearing. Maybe I am just weird. Is there anyone else out there like me?

  • Yes, I am...

    XD

You know It is called a music hearing, well atleast in dutch it is, A lot of people have it but don't use it...

    Hope this helps XD

  • Like 99% of people have it, but like noone uses it

  • I have it, but I dunno if it's the exact same. If somebody plays a note I can tune (my timpani in this case) to that exact note (seriously, perfectly). I still haven't bothered to really memorize the pitch of notes, shame on me, but that's very cool, maybe I'll work on that!

  • amazing

  • he missed the pantheon because it isnt a dome lol. as an artist it seems as thought this feat could easily be accomplished through observation. through memory one could be swayed if the artist knew what the viewers focus would be. but if in fact from memory he could recreate the 3rd street east of the obelisk only then would i be amazed

  • Well he has autism

    so I'm not surprised.

My brother has a light case,

my lord they usually have one

    fantastic talent.

  • i would LOVE to see ne1 do better with 1000 pictures of this that is an asshole he TRYS to look down at this man... man... this guy can draw u... and him looking down at u and him standing by the devil with a nuclear bomb and a explosion in the background and you still wouldnt be done with the planet earth at infront of the explosion

  • What an amazing ability and talent Stephen Wiltshire has - not only to remember perfectly, but to draw just as well, long after a single viewing. I wonder if Stephen is still doing this sort of thing, and whether or not he sells his finished work. I'm sure he could make a great living at just this, alone; his special skills could be marketed many, many ways. Although because he is autistic, I wonder also if he values money. (His friends and relatives must!) What an astounding human being!

  • my Iphone beats this guy hands down.

  • lolol

  • I am ever so jealous...this would eliminate my need to essentially study for many many tests!!!

How utterly amazing, it makes me feel quite small...

  • Artistic Super-Genius

  • reminds me of iqrenaissance . com

  • Derren Brown is actully an excellent artist but does not have a photographic memory. He's an illusionist.

  • I cannot :(

  • jesus...

  • wow so amazing the detail of his drawing with just memory i wish i could do that.

  • Even without photographic memory, he's still great at drawing!

And as for the whole dream debate, well i'm guessing moogmoo's right, cause I remember songs when I dream (not just a bit, I mean every word) and I even sometimes find myself singing them when I wake up.

  • We all have photographic memory, but some of us don't have any film.

  • wont forget, not only his memory was amazing.. but his drawing skills and his patience! lol.

  • I always wished i could have a photographic memory.

  • u do it then

  • Are you serious ? Do you know how hard this is ? Just try memorizing your computer and draw it, it's extremely hard.

  • Are all people with photographic memories, necessarily good artists? I think even if Derren Brown can memorise the page, he couldn't recreate the font with a pencil precisely now could he?

  • Right so he counted every window in every building and remebered where the were positioned and what shape they were.

And remeber what the shape of all the cars were and the people.

And all the ariels and rivers and trees, when he was in a helicopter flying around in motion.

Im sure you could do that...

  • You are obviously ignorant of the detai he put into that masterpiece. This guy is truly a genuis, Regardless of his memory he is a brilliant artist aswell. I just wonder are these strange abilities becoming more common among humans or are they just being discovered easier. If more peope are getting these incredible abiities right on HUMAN RACE!! Next we should try flying.

  • LOL.

If you want to go in a helicopter for 45 minutes, and then draw everything you saw over a 3 day time period without forgetting anything, go for it.

I'll be waiting patiently to laugh at your attempt.

  • all i hear from you are words. If you can do it, then do it and put it on video then put it on youtube.

    too much words.

    lets see the actions.

  • count the columns and the streets from 1000 feet and memorize them for 3 days? Yeah right. What about all the other details?

"Just to make people feel special", ya right

    You must be autistic too.

  • whoa!

  • wow......that was absoulutely amazing.....

  • Not bad not bad C+

  • it's amazing how he can remember that much detail. How long does it take for someone with photographic memory to forget something??

  • We achieve then same thing when we dream. We go to incredibly details places, create intricate worlds, faces, objects - list is endless. We can't reproduce that level of detail when awake. This guy can harness that part of his brain when awake.

  • Wrong, dreams are just file organization. We can't achieve something we don't have in our brains unless we rewire it. Some people are just born better at certain things than others

  • no, moogmoo is actually correct. its even possible to reread books whilst dreaming and simultaneously experience real life scenarios attached to each chapter/sentence ect without generalization. for instance i couldn't talk you through the entire run of pulp fiction whilst i was still awake. but when i am in a lucid state of sleep i can run through the entire film with almost perfect precision.

  • oh my gosh, this poor guy. i read somewhere that forgetting is a mechanism to prevent our brain from overflowing. but it looks in this clip incredible though.

  • all i can say is wow.... amazing

  • wow

  • holy shit! that man fucking rules! WOW

  • wow !

  • This shows the wonders of the human brain, and what could be done if we we to find some way to break that memory barrier.

Dude if they could isolate what type of brain chemistry/structure is capable of this and allow it to exist without the down sides (autism) we would have our next evolution! I hope they do this sometime in the future, imagine all the scientific progress that could be done!

  • that's absolutely true

  • I think such barriers are in place naturally.

Humans have messed the world up enough already. If we only use 10% of our brain or whatever it is (which I heavily disagree with) and we've thrown ourselves into some sort of Global Warming crisis etc. then multiply the worlds' problems by 10.

  • if we used more than 8% of our brains , we'd be prone to seisures and/or even deaths. lol. so i don't think the human race would go anywhere with 10% brain usage

  • why not divide.

  • This guy is great.

  • If only my mind was as brilliant as his, think of the things I would be capable of.

  • Imagine the things you;d be unable to forget.

I've heard this sort of thing is more of a curse. It has some good points to it, like this. But imagine just being unable to forget the most minor of things - it'd be like an OCD or something O.o

Personally, I'd rather be normal, but it's your opinion buddy :)

  • its somewhat of a curse...for example

Picture your mother naked...now you want to forget

  • Is YOUR mother really that ugly?

  • lol

  • This ability can actually be switched on and off whenever you like. It's not as bad as you think. Unless there's an impairment to his left side of the brain lol then that's a different story.

  • fuck this guy can ace test just by memorizing an entire text book and not have to understand any of it

  • what an arse...i want that too =[

  • what's up

  • Intelligence is a factor of 78 which in turn makes objects dispurse at a rapid rate. Therefore the subdivisions, in itself, requires an alternate source or nutrons equal to the sub-atomic particals found in the phrase "I don't know what I am talking about".

  • this is amazing.

  • jbakid, are you a retard? nobody talked about intelligence being equal to memory but its part of it,you have store information before processing them.

  • you're calling him a retard, and this movie is about one, you're pretty classy, i think they prefer mentally challenged

  • Ha ha! It's stuff like this that amuses me. You getting all huffy puffy. BTW, one sentence was all I had time to write, and NOT a summary. LoL. Anyway, +1 for effort. Ha ha!

  • What is the name of the movie or documentary this clip is from?

  • I believe it's "Beautiful Minds"-google Stephen Wiltshire to find out more about him and see other videos

  • I wish I had a photographic memory =/

  • You do!

  • Is there anyway to reach his memory level ?

  • no, you have to be an idiot savant for feats like this

  • amazing....

  • Incredible

  • Now THAT is cool. Savants never cease to amaze me

  • they found cryptonite last month in serbia we must use this on these mutants

  • if he used his skills right, he could be the most intelligent man on the planet

  • intelligence is not equivelant to memory.

  • jerk!! nobody said it was. its about memory ,nobody talked about intelligence here and another thing is to be called intelligent you have to first input informations before treating them.

  • jbakid, what makes you soo silly? nobody said intelligence was equal to memory but its part of it coz you have to store informations before processing it,stupid!

  • jbakid, are you a retard? nobody talked about intelligence being equal to memory but its part of it,you have store information before processing them.

  • yeah i babysat an autistic girl for a while. She had some very interesting talents too. i could ask her what the day (of the week) would be on any day of any year (for ex. march 10, 2024) and she would be able to tell me without even stopping to think. Its amazing, what they are capable of. This man for example is amazing with the accuracy of his drawings.

  • Impressionante..mas ja tinmha visto ele na tv a cabo

  • very very very good!!!

    this man is fantastic!

  • I'd like to see more of his work.

  • google Stephen Wiltshire you'll find much more

  • very interesting

  • what an amazing gift. this is a grand display of the human brain and its endless capabilities

  • He has an amazing talent
