Still relevant today - the Democratic Party is a corporatist sell out without principles or loyalty to the base that votes for it. We need a Progressive alternative that gets the vote of the youth, the poor, the Hispanics, the blacks, the relatives of immigrants, the liberal elites, the professors, and the students. We need to defeat "Real America".

@SketchyBack I really hate to respond to comments made so long ago, but yours was a sentiment very lacking in representation in this country as our left wing becomes more center-right. I simply couldn't agree more and hope soon to have the pleasure of voting for a representative that recognizes the benefits of a society rather than condemns them (but not holding my breath, of course).

Yeah, if tradition is so important then why'd you give up slavery? That was an American tradition. Why'd you ever allow women to vote? I wonder whether she's aware that proportional representation democracy hadn't been invented yet when the Founding Fathers devised the Constitution. A lot of good things have come along since 1787.

It's so annoying that people call and fax in no arguement or discussionary topics, but rather just some stereotypical compliments for one and then ad hominem for the other.

Making stupid comments about the viewpoints of the people on the show is an absolute waste of time. Whether its from one side or the other, it's people doing things like this that hold back the progress of politics, and keep things from getting better.

Though I must note that almost all of the attacks are against Hitch.
