I so love that these videos are here to remind us of what once was, but anyone who was ever at one of these shows knows, nothing will ever compare to seeing these guys live back in the day. They (and the Sweaty Nipples (credit where it's due)), were the ones who made me fall in love with live music, and I am forever grateful.
They still sound the same! Best reunion show ever at the Knitting Factory in Spokane last summer! I hope like crazy they will do another reunion show, I would pay anything and drive from anywhere to go!
@babybiggs22 He was very much so here in Aug and he and the band sounded just as great as they did back in the day when I would go see them play in Seattle and Tacoma. Went to all three Seattle shows and they haven't missed a beat!! Was great fun!!!
For those who don't know they are planning some Reunion Shows. Look 'em up on facebook to find out more! I understand that they are coming to Seattle in late August.
This made my day. Thanks for putting the few that you have up here angelox1. The Black Happy shows were definitely the best days of my life. Only regret is not seeing them more than the 13 times that I did.
Where can i get the Peg Head album? i cannot find it anywhere. UGH! i loved this band i listend to them waaaaaay back when even before i found out they were from idaho. I live in Boise, and i wish we had bands like this still around. Anyway please let me know where i can get the peghead album. thanx a million
I don't know where to find it, but it was released by Capricorn, if that helps. Also check out their first? album Friendly Dog Salad (released on Pacific)
sorry Kin! I have peghead on tape-working on transferring it to my comp-im in Boise also-saw them a few times b4 they Dog Salad'd...:) i will try to give up some more songs for all 2 enjoy! I miss them also-ebay or wait patiently for the entire album...underrated happy horns are few and far between!
as a teenager growing up in the pacific nw, it wasn't nirvana or pearl jam that everyone was listening to. It was all Black Happy for us. The best concerts by far.
Second concert, first with a mosh pit that I ever went to was Shine, Supersonic Soul Pimps and BLACK HAPPY... THEY ROCK! I think this may have been the same show... but I could be wrong...

That's very unlikely that Paul Hemenway will be there in August. He is the Pastor at my church.
