its a wake up call, all luge tracks should have sidings, luge tracks world wide have no sidings, I have no idea how they could miss such a saftey feature. The german designer of the track has designed 6 other olympic tracks, how did he miss that as a saftey precaution even though its rare for people to fly out. Its a risk, so why not try to prevent it. And stop trying to push the speed envelope the goal of luging is speed and they keep making tracks faster. Time to realize we reached a limit.
