Well the bell was the original bell of the Queen Mary so i suppose they wanted to best preserve it from the outside weather it has huge historical significance for the Cunard Line

Very interesting. I've taken a tour of the original QM harbored in Long Beach, CA...but it would be a real treat to see the QM2

how come they do it inside but i like it how he gets into full dress officers uniform very nice

I remember the time I also saw the ceremony while shopping. They are very careful to be there ontime. The sound is quite real and the crowds really lineup for this photo-op. Something on a cruise not to be missed.
