I guess I' d use "will" and "going+to" in a situation such as follows: It's Friday night, I'm driving home from work and I am thinking about what to do on the weekend. I've got no plans, So, all of a sudden, I think of my parents, so I decide to visit them and I think to myself: " I'll take mom and dad out for lunch on Sunday". A minute later my cell phone rings and a friend asks me about my plans for the weekend and I say: I'm going to visit my parents on Sunday. Thanks for the great class!
