Hardest part of this piece for french horn is that I'd always screw up and start counting my note as if it started on beat 1 when it started on beat 4 on the long notes and I'd lose my place. The melody was easier for me than the boring rhythm! At our concert I had been playing ALL day so my lips were tired when it came to the awesome high part that I hadn't practiced enough. And then I just hit it perfectly. Oh, the horn soli at end is way to quiet in this. We just blasted and it was epic.
