This is a shining example of why technology works out very well for electronic music :D I love my vinyl but just like nothing gives you the feel of vinyl, vinyl will only carry you so far concerning capability. This was awesome man! Case and point!
from my opposite perspective; id really love to learn classic vinyl skills too though. its really two quite different skills, both of which can produce amazing unique results! :D
@FaunKeH I happen to agree with you 100% I play deep or funky styles of house music and practice a slight bit of DMC tactics but since I started playing its gone from vinyl being the preference to CDs to MP3 and MIDI integrated controls. The term Disc Jockey is obsolete unless you play on discs of some kind. Its just come so far so quickly and the options available are crazy. I can make a live remix or edit but what you do, you can basically make something completely original as you play.
@AlexanderSaint1 haha i just realised i should be shot for putting "Disc Jockey" in the tags for this performance video here
yeah ive come from a musician background, so i love having this freedom of creating original performances just like im playing an instrument (especially being a one man band hehe). but when i mix i see it as another whole different thing; being able to control other peoples music
@FaunKeH I didnt mean anything bad by that, sorry for not directing that better. No, I think your tags are well placed. Weather its good or bad people really dont seem concerned with the meaning of DJ anymore so albeit maybe an inaccurate description to use for allot of what its applied to these days its perceived application is more useful for promotion and the industry seems to accept it. I actually found your video by searching "scratching", and indeed there was some of that to be found :D
@AlexanderSaint1 i didnt take it offensively, i was pointing out myself alot of people these days use the words Disk Jockey wrongly heh. the tag is there exactly for that reason if someone is looking for this type of performance, they'll think of 'DJ'
wow im actually surprised how well tags work, i woulda though my video would be hidden amongst the other millions of videos with that 'scratching' tag haha
@FaunKeH I actually just posted a video using the same tag so i thought Id see what else got posted recently. There was some whacky stuff in there tho :P
there's only 1 word 2 describe this video & that word is "AMAZING" another great job bro! keep the amazing stuff coming! :) & most off good luck with the comp bro!
nice work man....pretty sweet....
