@zweihand I see the 360 games you play are mostly arcade shoot them ups and hack and slash games the pc games you play are shooters and sandbox and ofcoarse portal 2. And the wii games u play are either dependent on the wii remote or have equivalents which are multiplatform. Therefore you have no reason to play ps3. I recommend you check out superstardust hd and the rest of the star dust series and also ratchet and clank if you havnt already :) and you made a great point about bayonneta that is

Yeah I agree that a 600 dollar launch is stupid but at least Sony learnt from it fired the idiot who was responsible for this fail and now you get 250GB slim ps3 for 299 dollars. You also get some amazing exclusives (infamous, uncharted littlebigplanet) and some really good multiplatforms (ff13, bad company 1 and 2, portal 2, LA noire). And my last point: why wouldn't you buy a console that let's you fight GIANT ENEMY CRABS in ancient japan :)

Have fun with them. Good luck beating Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (even if it's just on normal mode), clearing Castle of Shikigami III without using Continues, and all 100 stages of Ivy the Kiwi, too.
Also, had my 360 for years, hasn't RROD'd yet. The warranty was extended to "indefinite" anyway.

funny is that "serious" games have been existing since more than 20 years in consoles 100 times les powerfull (or maybe more). "Blasting processing" doesn't necessarily mean good (or "serious") games, and anyway imho games should be about fun.. not "seriuos"
@rub800 Serious gamers want their games to evolve and get better and better. Innovation (in therms of hardware and not a gay controller) are ccucial part of that.

I personally like cutting-edge games, i like to be wowed. The Wii cant do that since its a last gen gaming console, been there, done that.

Also, Red Steel 2 (sequel to one of the worst Wii games, surprisingly excellent) is the best 1:1 sword combat game so far. I'm not a graphics whore, though. Just a gameplay whore.

As in those big-budget games that get all the paid reviews? Don't even care. Got TWO bullet-hell arcade shmup ports coming out this month alone for the 360, and I'd rather play them now than A) fly to Japan and visit an arcade or B) wait 10 years for them to be playable on MAME. More to come later in the year, too.

And, yes, the Wii has a drought of 3rd party titles; however, Nintendo provides amazing games solely for its console (ex. Mario Galaxy 1,2 - both of those titles are critically ranked #2 and #3 of all time, only behind Nintendo's own Legend of Zelda).
There isn't something for everyone on the PS3. I can't buy my brother any of the titles you mentioned above (besides Little Big Planet).

The Atari Jaguar couldn't ride on Aliens vs Predator alone. A console needs more than one or two noteworthy games.

Metal Gear was a Massive succes selling over an estimated 5 million copies world wide and its not even well known to mainstream audiences. Thanks to that game it out-sold Xbox for nearly 10 months. I heard last year they had a shortage on PS3s except gamestop who had 2.

PS3 has actually had the most drastic price drop of any console in the shortest amount of time; a testament to Sony's desperation. The only good PS3 game is Demon's Souls, and only a fool buys a console for just one game.

Why didn't you like Uncharted. MGS4 is a game for the fans, you would have to played the others to at least like it. Also you may not have noticed this but many games are taking the "movie" route now like Call of Duty and others, presentation is a big part of development. LBP, you must not have a very creative mind or just didn't play it with friends, it's a blast to play with buddies. Why didn't you enjoy GOW? Resistance does have M/K controls which looks like you can play it then huh.
Uncharted felt like a generic jungle-crawling action game, and the sequel had even worse stealth segments. (I hate stealth games, which is why I didn't like MGS, for that matter)
LBP was fun, messing around creating things, just like Scribblenauts. And just like Scribblenauts, it got old after an hour.
GoW has always been too slow-paced for me, and has too many QTE events. I prefer Devil May Cry/ Bayonetta.
Resistance is still a generic aliens vs humans FPS.

funny is that "serious" games have been existing since more than 20 years in consoles 100 times les powerfull (or maybe more). Metal Gear Solid for PS, Goldeneye in N64, Chrono Trigger in SNES and a long etc... "Blasting processing" doesn't necessarily mean good (or "serious") games, and anyway imho games should be about fun.. not "seriuos"

And, yes, the Wii has a drought of 3rd party titles; however, Nintendo provides amazing games solely for its console (ex. Mario Galaxy 1,2 - both of those titles are critically ranked #2 and #3 of all time, only behind Nintendo's own Legend of Zelda).
There isn't something for everyone on the PS3. I can't buy my brother any of the titles you mentioned above (besides Little Big Planet).

why not? it stil has a few good games, like mario and zelda and the smash brothers series. you can buy the old games too and play gamecube. i would definately consider it a console...

@MrSteamedchicken Yeah the wii only sold more units than 360 and ps3 combined, and the DS didnt sell very well either. The install base is tiny one wonders how nintendo makes any money.

None of those interest me. Only Demon's Souls. Meanwhile, the Wii has No More Heroes, MadWorld, Blast Works, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and will soon have No More Heroes 2, Metroid: Other M, and Sin & Punishment 2.
For the record, the only 360 exclusives that grab me are Earth Defense Force 2017, Lost Odyssey, Armored Core: For Answer, Beautiful Katamari, and Mushihime-sama Futari. Also got the 360 version of Bayonetta, since the PS3 port was terribad.

@mrgingles Wii has several great exclusives that aren't made by Nintendo. PS3 has one good exclusive. (Demon's Souls) How am I a fanboy?

I didn't enjoy Uncharted.
I didn't enjoy MGS4. (which is more of a movie than a game, by the way.)
I enjoyed LittleBigPlanet for one hour.
I didn't enjoy God of War 1 or 2, why would I care about Gof of War 3?
I won't play Resistance unless I can do so with proper mouse-and-keyboard controls.

Why didn't you like Uncharted. MGS4 is a game for the fans, you would have to played the others to at least like it. Also you may not have noticed this but many games are taking the "movie" route now like Call of Duty and others, presentation is a big part of development. LBP, you must not have a very creative mind or just didn't play it with friends, it's a blast to play with buddies. Why didn't you enjoy GOW? Resistance does have M/K controls which looks like you can play it then huh.

Uncharted felt like a generic jungle-crawling action game, and the sequel had even worse stealth segments. (I hate stealth games, which is why I didn't like MGS, for that matter)
LBP was fun, messing around creating things, just like Scribblenauts. And just like Scribblenauts, it got old after an hour.
GoW has always been too slow-paced for me, and has too many QTE events. I prefer Devil May Cry/ Bayonetta.
Resistance is still a generic aliens vs humans FPS.
