the sad thing is i was born and lived in Lodi, CA all my life and there isn't shit do here not even work unless you have experience or work for free at a community center. plus im right next to one of the most violent citys in america which makes things worse for the violence already here. this town is my hometown but its a really hard place to live in unless you just want to retire. unfortunately this song comes to mind when i cant leave my city to do things or have fun. i hope it changes soon.

Lodi doesn't have much to do with this song. It's just a town I used to live south of. This song's about a state of life, and of mind. Both of which I lived, though not in Lod, but in another nameless town that was virtually identical. I guess many of us have our "Lodi's" in life.The problem with many of today's artists is that they don't have their Lodi's. They get popular without paying their dues first by having the lonely, end of your rope moments that are depicted in this song.
