You can use the shield rod + Iron Shield or kick jump over the middle part and it's very easy to kill.

Shield rod and skull shield is the way to go. A single shot will kill him.

@GarlandFraser It was actually a reference to a Kurt Vonnegut novel, Cat's Cradle. It was a group of people that chose to have a singular identity in the fictitious religion in that novel. It works for that boss, but not as well as Legion, I'd admit.

I've mastered this game everything short of hacking. It really helps to get the drop items for most enemies as you first meet them. The heaven sword+some other one handed weapon will easily take this boss.

The monster was always called Legion in Japan. Konami USA renamed it Granfaloon after a term created by novelist Kurt Vonnegut.

It's original name in it's first appearance was Granfaloon. I agree, Legion sounds better, but I think they chose Granfaloon for the nostalgia factor.

Why do I say what? It's just he's playing on the Xbox360. This port is actually better than on the PSX. The graphics run a lot smoother.

One of the things you notice about the port is that after you kill a boss, and that blue star like shape, it'll do it's animation much faster than the PSX. The PSX takes a little more time to process it while the 360 makes it much faster. I suck at trying to explain things, but I think you might know what I mean when you get to it. :P

yea, i sorta wish they remade the sotn one, whit high res textures, and added more challenges to it, i mean i can beat any boss at level 1, they have some pretty critical weaknessses, even galamoth, wich you can take out whiout a weapon as long as you get around him lol and on tht hill, facepalm

if u ever have some free time could u go over some missed areas and how to get em like most of the water level on the inverted castle wont appear as ive been there that would be cool although thats kinda time consuming and iuno if u even got the 206% or watever it is but jus putting that out there incase u have nothing to do (also when u doing resistance)

Granfloon might be the core where as "Legion" is literally the legion of dead bodies it posses. Of course this is all speculation.
