ISMFOF is just another shit band that pretends there's something deeper to it by naming a song after David Foster Wallace's book. Like other crappy bands that try to pay homage to writers like Faulkner. As I Lay Dying and The Sound and The Fury are shit bands and I think Faulkner would be depressed to know they exist.

As far as this book review, it's very narrow and small-minded. Finish the book, then criticize it.

Why would you expect a collection of short stories to read like a novel? Why would you film this review, for the world to see, when clearly you have no concept of who the writer is or even what the book is about (as you haven't even read all of it)? Why would you decide to read a book by David Foster Wallace in the first place? Alistair MacLean seems more your speed.

Tony, DFW is difficult to grasp, indeed he is an enigma wrapped in a paradox, but if you read his stuff you will begin to get the jist of what he is trying to convey. Like that first chapter you read about the guy sitting by the pool, titled "Death Is Not The End" do you see how DFW satirizes and mocks this person with cunning wit? Mocking such social inequities as materialism, fame,fortune, arrogance, consumerism, narcissism and benevolence? Read deeper and will see the genius behind the words.

Hey, I haven't read the book but I think if you're not interested by now you should move on! Reading (as you know I'm sure) can be so much fun and it becomes not so fun when you force yourself to read things that don't interest you. Its summer! Read something you know you'll enjoy!
