Cette belle chanson rappelle de cruels souvenirs. Surtout à ceux qui étaient soldats et prisonniers en Allemagne. Mon père faisait parti de ceux là.C'est pourquoi "J'attendrai" avait pour lui une signification toute particulière.Quant à la haine qu'auraient les "Juifs"contre l'Allemagne, je crois qu'il s'agit plutôt, pour ceux qui en ont été victimes, de châtier les derniers responsables "Nazis". I first heard this song first when I watched thegreat German war movie "Das Boot" ( the U-Boat ) . The movie was superb but it was this song that stayed most in my memory. I have listened to it many many times,performed by different singers...and it really does not matter who sings it for it is in the Lyrics that is tehe secret.

The secret of a feeling of nostalgia, sadness and longing that touches ones' heart deeply. It almost make me like the dark days of the pre and War time Europe.

Para ésto le deja una grabadora, en la cual aprovecha de darle a conocer la música francesa, le manda una canción que según el poeta, no sabía cuantas veces habia cantado cuando joven...
