Christians will say that there is only one god and it's their god, right? Maybe I don't believe that. I am a self proclaimed gothic christian, but I agree with you totally. We have free will for a reason. I do not try to convert people, because I believe that it is everyones right to believe how they see fit, and in the end, what ever happens happens. Well I beleive in God. I don't expect you to tolerate any belief, we all do what we like.
BUT I probably can explain why they wanted to pray for "you" though. Prayer is one on many things (if I may call it that) that is proven to release the endorphins in the brain, just like food, sex and even pain. So they probably wanted to get a little "natural" brain produced opiate rush after being stunned by your show. So it was probably more for themselves than you, typical human intolerant behaviour.
I, as a Christian consider myself to be tolerant of other religions and lifestyles, but it varies from person to person on what they freak out about and what they don't. The Bible actually says to be tolerant about that kind of thing, but some people like to live out the parts of the Bible they want to, and not all of it.

As a Christian, I don't believe in forcing my beliefs on others, however, I am a little tired of the misconception that Christians are the only ones who do this. In fact, I've run into quite a few non-religious people who are just as zealous about their opinions as any religious fanatic.

Tolerance is the whole point of Christianity. wow there is a major conflict here. I understand now that he is using the terms Thank Satan, and praying to him as an example. my apologises... I believe that I or any other Christian should not press our beliefs on ANYONE!! he has his right as do we all. so why throw words at him or others to make them understand that you believe in God/Jesus Christ? live and let live it will all be over with soon enough.... thanks for the reply s!!!

hey man you are not wrong at all. im a christian and i completely agree with you. that was very insightful of you. the reason that is the way some christians are is because they are right wing bible thumpers who will go all crazy if they see one skull on a t shirt. As a Christian, I don't believe in forcing my beliefs on others, however, I am a little tired of the misconception that Christians are the only ones who do this. In fact, I've run into quite a few non-religious people who are just as zealous about their opinions as any religious fanatic.

Tolerance is the whole point of Christianity. There really is no point in getting in a debate with another religion because no one is ever willing to look at the problem from the other person's perspective. I'd let peple pray for me ... it's not going to change how I feel about myself either way so more power to em' if that's what they want to spend their time doing. No matter what comeback you have, in the end it's just a waist of breath sometimes.

okay im a christian, i love wearing black finger nail polish even go to church with it, now yes i would be offended if one of the members wanted to pray for me because of this, I also wore majority black to church , I feel that if a christian judges outward appearances and things like that they have issues with their own heart, our main focus should be John 3:16, and the rest of our decisions should follow as we grow....spiritually.....

I am a Christian. I have satanic friends. We have agreed not to force each others religion apon each other. When I see a Satanist, I'm not begging them to let me pray for them. I pray in my own time. What if there was a point of no return? What if a person's soul could be broken beyond repair? What if the soul goes on to exist in such a state after the death of the body? If the state of the soul is key in not only enjoying fellowship with its Maker, but in pleasing Him as well, then what good is it broken? Could this be the plight of those called "the damned"? These are questions for the normal, rational person to ponder...and hopefully to act upon.

If i was one of those christians I would have said sure. You can pray to whom ever you like for me in exchange for me praying for you. Those christians should have know satan has no power over christ and it doesn't matter if you pray to satan or not. Should not have made any difference to them for praying for you. They are just ignorant christians but hopefully their heart was in the right place. Sometimes us christians think we are so mighty we forget that we are all pieces of crap sometimes.
