  • "Eight people coming to dinner! Eight people isn't a dinner"! Top ten best movies ever.

  • Where's the rest of it??? You cut it off before the best line!!!

  • i love her voice :D

  • No aspic for dinner, crab meat, these should be my biggest problems.

  • these should be my biggest problems.

  • Oops not bisque, lobster apsic, not craaaab, darling.

  • I have to send for crab meat, crab meeeeeat. God no lobster bisque. What's the world coming to. I love the 20's and 30's if you have money.

  • Haha, Billie is great. She made me laugh. I love her :P.

  • "The miserable Cockneys!" Love how she says it. Classic movie line by a classy lady like Billie Burke.

  • Something tells me there a lot of young folk here. Young compared to me that is. I remember this great performer when she had a VERY successful radio program way back when. And gosh was she great in that too. TALENT! Thanks for posting this and thanks for the memory.

  • at what point does the sound warble make her sound exactly like Glinda?

  • Whether she is the Good Witch or a good bitch, I have never seen Billie Burke in anything where she failed to elicit at least a chuckle fro me!

  • Most people like Billie Burke as Glinda from "The Wizard of Oz". I actually like her more as Millicent Jordon in "Dinner at Eight".

  • Love it! thanks for posting

  • suckie, errr, sookie has the most irritatingly tiny brain in history

  • Anyone who thinks she was just Glinda needs to watch this movie.

  • lol i love this i watched it a few weeks ago

  • Her and Betty White looked so much alike. They could have been lost sisters seperated at birth. Same facial expression, same hairdo. I could tell where Bette White got her comedy from. Billie Burke had to be her inspiration.

  • Great actress, very funny! Splendid!

  • Quite and interesting woman Billie Burke was, she kind of reminds me of Bette Davis, although mostly by her voice. Well done, a great little piece from a great film.

  • "Glenda the Good Witch of the North".......Billy Burke was in her 50's when she had the role in "The Wizard of Oz". she amazingly looked much younger.

  • That's because back then, women were classy. Yep, the 1930s were an era where women worn penciled eyebrows, fake eyelashes, and some hair transplants, but this is the pre-plastic Hollywood times before they realized the need for it. Women during that time did not look like the skinny Hiltons, big boobed Pam Andersons, or plastic Demi Moores. Sadly, most women in their 40s or 50s are trying to be 20 again. They could have learned a thing or two from Billie Burke.

  • Amen to that!

  • LOL...the clip cut *right* before the best line: "You don't know what suffering is, either one of you!!!"

  • I love her voice!
