sorry if he says this in the video. can not listen to this guy for much longer...

  • You don't need it. Buy 8.5

  • Why are there problems when using strings section and bass with cubase?

  • can i download it??

  • hi, my name is Robin Kelly. Let's take a closer look at my gigantic ears.

  • Nice animations.

  • @MarkArandjus nice animations, that´s true but i want a drum plug- in sound good, not look good. i think this doesn´t sound real at all...

  • @mickey5241 Cripes, I was just complementing the animations, Which come to think of it are very useful, because when I was making fast songs in EZ Drummer the drums would flash bright when hit so fast I couldn't tell what was playing.

  • can u pull up a grid rather than just midi???? and if so how? thx

  • I use Battery, but it's almost over-powerful. This has a very nice UI. Is the reverb and compression built in? If so, how configurable are the FX (also can I gate the reverb within the VST?

  • i use BFD2 to record

  • i dont like how it sounds

  • I see that each piece of kit has its own mixer slot, Is it possible to render the output of each pice of kit to its own individual midi and / or wav file?

  • There wouldn't happen to be any different drum samples out there for this would there?

  • can i use it with fl studio? as vsti or sth..

  • I would like to know where the TEMPO control is for the S1 DRUM KIT. Can someone anyone help me? Surely there is a control for the actual playing speed/tempo.

  • es un VST Instrument para Cubase????

  • can I play this with pc keyboard?

  • Is there any way you can add effects to each individual drum?

  • this guy looks like Ilya kuriaky (David McCallum) from UNCLE.....

  • Guy! You've got THE WORST WEBSITE I have encountered in pro-audio world. It was the case in the past and is now. There are no audio demos of your products nor direct links to them. I had to google for "studio instruments" audio demo and it turned out there are on youtube provided by... Roland! No mention about it on the website. Other stuff is also hard to find.

  • can i load my midi files to hear them with these realistic sounds?

  • Cery coolll

  • Robin Kelly whata name lol!!!

  • great but you cant make ur own kit! BIG DOWNSIDE! :(

  • can you load midi tracks into it?

  • Question: Do you get a different sample for different velocities? In other words, if the velocity value of a snare hit is 65 and later on in the pattern it is 97 will I get a different sample or just louder version of the same sample?

  • Am I able to use the piano roll veiw on the music creator 5?

  • kick sound nice just the cym are touchy :( why cant Ez Drummer, This and Addictive drums all be friends and make one MASSIVE amazing peice of software.

  • can you sing?

  • So many 'probably classic' organ sounds don't seem available as VSTi, or as free samples.

So I decided to share the unique sounds of organs I love to record myself so much. Click my name for FREE ORGAN SAMPLES: LESSER-HEARD HAMMOND, YAMAHA ELECTONE WITH CHAINED ROLAND PLUS TABLE HARP.

Copy, record, comment and enjoy! (Or better still, make your own.)

  • can i plug my midi cable in my drum trigger and into my computer for this software (like by EZdrummer)

  • hi..Maybe its a stupid question but I dont know very much about this programm.I have bought the boss me 25...inculed was the sonar le 8.5 programm..i only record...so..now i want to do some nice sounding drums to my recording...i was wondering that i haven´t got the drum kits....so i must by this extra???

I´m srry when I steel your time..but I dont know.

thx for your help..;-) P.s. Srry for my spelling mistake too...

  • Smeagle #LOL

  • In MusicCreator5, using SI-DrumKit, how do I assign a cpu keyboard keystroke to a particular drum, crash, pad, etc... IE: z = bass, x = crash, etc... I assume it is done in the piano roll view. Next question is, instead of a keystroke, how do I assign a midi input to a particular pad? (IE: If I own a drum kit, how do I assign the pads to those in the SI-DrumKit to record a beat). - Thanks in Advance!!!

  • how do i import midi's???

  • Well, now that VS 100 has arrived I see that this plugin is also in the package and not some LE version... I was like WHOOOOA... and I own quite some hardware drum machines. All I can say is WOW. This package is a killer.

And strings... I was laughing loud when they start to draw in front of red curtain...OMFG (goddess)

Sonar VS - top sh*t ... the whole package rocks ... so far just a few dropouts ... probably because I was to fast with the mouse and not stopping the audio.

    Cakewalk, THANKS!

  • Does anyone enjoy FL Studios?

I have written a few songs with it. Generally speaking---if I'm not mistaken---people think of it as a low quality producer. But there have been quite a few composers and artist who have used it.

You can hear some of what I've written at my channel if you're interested. :)

  • @ScottDillardHall Yeah i use FL Studio as well sccott... i think it's great, usefull, good quality etc...

  • @ScottDillardHall am thinking in buying this drum kit to create drum and bass do you think is a good idea? thanks

  • can we download this?

  • rofl fucking elf ears

  • so i cant record my own patterns???

  • @sok213 You can record your own patterns onto the MIDI tracks of your sequencer.

  • @CakewalkSoftware how do you do that? sorry im new to this, i'd like to make my own drum patterns

  • @sok213 No

  • 0:50 I love stereo

  • is this program free?

  • So, I have my Lexicon Alpha interface set up to my HP Pavilion W/ Windows Vista 32-bit, w/ Sonar 7 Homestudio. I recently had several dropouts, but set the drivers to ASIO Alpha and it has cured the problem. Now, I'm suffering pops/clicks and distortion when headphones are plugged into the Alpha. Before, w/ drivers set to MME Bit-32, hdphnes were plugged into my laptop speakers, w/ full clarity. Playback is painful, and can't even record because of distortion and pops. Any knowledge/tips?

  • very good

  • Im using a v studio 100. I can get the si drum to play. and jam along. i cant record it to my project and mix it in. i tried doing what uou said to deaddream, those input / output choices did not appear when I added a midi track. so hear is what I specifically want to do. I have a project completed except for drums. i want to select an existing si drum pattern and record it to a track and mix it in and save it. How?

    Thanks

  • So after you drag that into a track, all the instruments are all together. So what if I wanted to do a different mix or add certain effects through the track to just an individual instrument? Once it is in the track there is no changing it. I can if I use different tracks with TTS-1. I do not seem to be able to drag from the staff view either.

  • can i use these for death metal drumming ??

  • Is it compatible with E-drumsets?

  • Hi Robin Kelly, can I go into the program files folder and add my own drum samples ?

  • Can you drag the patterns from the interface into your DAW ?>

  • So this is a VSTi that will work on other DAW's ?

  • urm m okay but how do i make my own drum beats?

  • @glint20 Depends on your DAW. I create my patterns with the piano roll in FL9.

  • cani i make my own drum beat with this program?

  • @NICK19641963 Yes you can!

  • @alankmkz how :S

  • @NICK19641963 Oooh! I don´t know what DAW you're using. I use FL Studio and I create the pattern in the piano roll. What software do you use?

  • @alankmkz i just instaled fl studio 9

  • @NICK19641963 Good! I use FL Stusio 9 too! Ok. Load the DK in the step sequencer, then it should appear as "SI - Drum Kit". Richt click on it, and the click in "Piano roll". Should work the same as FPC, but without the names on the piano roll. Just hit notes and see what happens. Adjust the velocity with the bar on the bottom for a more realistic sound. Ask me if you can't.

  • @alankmkz Oh yeah! With the piano roll open, you can also also load midi files. You can use the ones that come with FPC. It's easier if you open FPC, look for a pattern you like, and them replace FPC with SI Drum Kit.

  • I bought this today! love it!

p.s. is there anyway I can use my keyboard to play the instruments?

  • @ahabblogme Yes. Just as if you played a drum kit included in your keyboard. I have an old Casio keyboard and sometimes use it to play this.

  • very helpful video but does a program like this come with an interface box at all? like the cakewalk edirol?

  • can you only use these with a mouse or does a midi/drumpad work?

  • @OnCall101Villa You can use it as a VSTi in any DAW.

  • Thanks was very helpful.

  • needs a china

  • this doesnt sound real at all....

  • Can I create my own drumming tracks with this or not, I am not buying it if all I get is pre made tracks, I want to be able to make a drum track that fits my guitar playing.

  • I got a problem when ever i hit a drum i don't hear anything what may be the problem. and how do you prevent DropOut when something is playing it just stops what's up with that?

  • Hey Mr Bean!!!

  • how do i record the patterns into my project? im having trouble with midi i think, i use cakewalk music creator 5 if that helps.

  • does all cakewalk products have piano roll view???

  • @deaddreamm What's your primary DAW? Make sure you add a MIDI track to your project with Studio Instruments as your input, soundcard as your output...

  • @CakewalkSoftware hi.. i recently puchase music creator 5... but it seem my laptop slows down ever since i install it.. when i play the keyboard or the drums and hit a beat it takes about 3 seconds for the sound tro come out.. what can i do to fix the problem?

  • @figlox Welcome to the world of latency. It's a bitch and unless you know what you're doing it's a pain in the dick to eliminate.

  • @figlox: install ASIO4ALL on your laptop to fix the problem.

Write "ASIO4ALL_2_9_English.exe" on google and download it.

  • i just want to know if i can create my own drum beat like i do in FL studios ?? not ready made beats -_- please help cheers

  • @ODAL123 You can, using the Piano Roll View (PRV) in SONAR or DAW of choice.

  • @CakewalkSoftware i don't think that's what they meant.

  • @CakewalkSoftware i don't think that's what they meant. I think they want to know if u can add your own drums instead of being limited to Superior Drummer or any other VST for that matter. If so I'm so switching to this new Sonar x1

  • @ODAL123 Yes! I use FL Studio too, but don´t like the sound of the FPC plugin included, and sometimes just use the MIDI drum patterns with this drum kit.

  • @ODAL123 You can write your own beats in staff view using the TTS-1 or you can mike your acoustic or electric drums through an interface purchased at the music store. Then you can edit them to whatever you like after laying the tracks down.

  • is there like a free demo or somethin cause this thing is awesome and i really want to try it! :)

  • @jdogdisturbed1996 No free demo. Studio Instruments is available for $39 (USD) on Cakewalk's website.

  • This is the best sounding drums I found out there

  • the kick drum/bass drum dont sound deep enough.

  • Can you make your own drum beat's in the program?

  • @Messermusic You can load your own beats into Studio Instruments or choose one of our pre-loaded patterns to add to your project. You can edit those patterns in your DAW of choice (ie if you're using a Cakewalk product - use Piano Roll View).

  • sorry... it sounds really bad

  • Could I import my own drum sounds and then make my own rolls using this program?

  • Can another tom and cymbal be added to expand the kit, or is the limit of drums the 5 piece and 3 cymbals?

  • This is cool! Where can I get this?

  • @silasjones04 Visit Cakewalk's website.

  • dupa nie pałerful. bieda jak ja pierdole:P

  • is it possible to use the keyboeard to controll the drum kit to create my own beat. for example bass-drum = 1, snare = 2,...?????

  • Now once I make my beats can I sell them? Or if I put my beats in my movies can I still sell my movie and put myself as credit or do I have to add you as credit?

  • can the user create his or her own patterns?

  • @carlosalbuquerque89 You can load your own beats into Studio Instruments or choose one of our pre-loaded patterns to add to your project. You can edit those patterns in your DAW of choice (ie if you're using a Cakewalk product - use Piano Roll View).

  • I use Ringo Starr drum software on my sessions, double-looped robot hands with ten fingers with each ring thus the name Ringo...lol

  • where can I find this plug in?

    please answer.thanks

  • Is it possible to buy an extra patterns, or make my own patterns? Can I get it online?

  • Studio Instruments is available as a download or box copy on our website. You can load your own beats into Studio Instruments or choose one of our pre-loaded patterns to add to your project. You can edit those patterns in your DAW of choice (ie if you're using a Cakewalk product - use Piano Roll View).

  • not enough layers. Rice cymbal is terrible and the rest of the velocity layers are not enough.

The snare drum of My Drum sample library has 24 velocity layers... Kick has 10, etc etc..

I hope this is not more than $70 because EZDRUMMER just blows it away by light years

  • Studio Instruments is an entry-level product that includes pre-loaded sounds and patterns for electric piano, bass guitar, strings and drums. It can be used as a standalone product or with your choice of production software.

  • LOL I know what it is! Been USING VSTi since Steinberg invented the thing.

You have replied to me with the same "quotes" in 2 videos.

LISTEN If a company is gonna do something like this, it is better to do it right. THIS entry level pack sounds to me like old recycled ROM samples from Roland.

    cheers

  • @girotube - It's $50 for 4 instrument sections. One shouldn't expect it to match higher quality, more expensive solutions! For hobbiest musicians, Studio Instruments looks a very economical solution with a good overall sound from what I can see (haven't actually used it!). IMO it's a great starter, along with Music Creator/Home Studio, for people to create tracks and songs. This is where technology is a real empowerer!

  • HI!

I think it should come integrated in Sonar..

    Thanx for your mature reply..

I leave Cakewalk alone for now ;) Glad its $50. But I don't need it and I've been a bit antagonistic..

    cheers

  • have a problem when playing with your mouse as you do in the first seconds (0:29) sounds like 2 seconds after a delay of sound is a configuration problem or is my computer? I have a IntelCore with 3gb of ram and 2.80GHz

    porsiacaso hablo español...

  • So i can't have keyboard inputs to do the sounds?

I can only use the mouse?

  • do they have like a fast double bass drum death metal track also how do u make ur own rythms

  • can i make my own rithms ?

  • yes

  • I just got it. I am actually really happy with it. There are a lot of kits I really don't care for, but this program is a lot better than I expected. (The kit used in the video sucks! There are better ones)

  • This does not campare to Addictive drums, or EZdrummer.

  • How much is it

  • Studio Instruments is available on the Cakewalk E-Store at $49.99 (US).

  • Can you play the open highat too? how much does this think cost?

  • I have Sonar PE 7. Is that what replaces Seession Drummer 2 in Sonar 8 and+?

  • No, Studio Instruments is an entry-level product that includes a a ton of sounds and patterns for electric piano, bass guitar, strings and drums. It can be used as a standalone product or with your choice of production software

  • @CakewalkSoftware can i use this for live with triggers on my drum set?

  • Studio Instruments can be assigned to your MIDI instrument and used as a plug-in with your DAW of choice.

  • you cant create your own pattern, ots one of those cheaps where u pick mix and match, amatures, you cant create your own

  • you can but not straightforward

create a drum beat and export the file as .mid. decide which ever folder you want the track to be in eg Rock. now go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments\SI-Drum Kit\Patterns\Rock drop your mid file in there, then go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments\SI-Drum Kit\Patterns and open the patterns.lst in notepad. inside you will find the directory for each drumkit patter

  • n. the first directory is the name of the folder so ends with eg \ E L E C T R O N I C & P O P ignore this one and go to the next one which ends \ G E T T H R O U G H - A . M I D

now either copy this and name it after your track or just replace this name with your own. make sure the name has the space as above or it wont work. if anyone needs me to make a video just let me no, hope this helps. btw if there is alot easier or obvious way of doin this id love to know

  • no need to open patterns.lst - instead just delete it after dropping in new .mid file as you described earlier. Patterns.lst should be receated automatically including new pattern (you can always make a copy of patterns.lst first before deleting it, if you want)

  • Hi i,ve got this app for oer a year now , and ican figure it out how to create my own patterns.

    any advise please

    appreciated

    thank you

  • hey! whats the diffrent between sonar 8 producer and studio edition? do i get like same drumkit and stuff like that? what i mainly focus is making drum sound, bass, and piano sound (creating them in the program) cuz i can only play guitar and sing..... so which would be better for me? thank you to anyone replys

  • Nice, but how can i make my own beats?

I'm a guitar player, and record my own bass.

I just want to add some own simple beats & background (strings&keyboard), to my songs.

  • Yes, you can create beats with SI in your own DAW. When you load SI into a project- listen to the drum sounds by left clicking on the drums or scroll through the list of preloaded loops on the left hand dropdown.Click on a category to open it. Find a beat pattern and click Play.

  • When you find one you like, click and drag it into the MIDI track (that opens when you insert SI into your project). You can move this new clip into the timeline by clicking and dragging. In SONAR, you can use the piano roll view (PRV) to edit

  • can i create my own beats or not////??

  • VST drums are definitely the way to go if you are composing for the Weather channel.

  • WOW!!!!!!!

  • nahhh...you should use addictive drums or superior drums...or drumcore....the hats don't sound real enough....and the alternating samples are not readily noticeable...i.e. left hand-right hand strokes

  • holy shit! I want this!

  • can you use double bass or double pedal

  • Okey : ) Okay : D and Okidoki ; )

  • is this sonar 8

  • Studio Instruments in a plugin VST available as a standalone or within a DAW like SONAR

  • how can i use it with FL 9

  • oh yes and can u play really quick like slipknot without having to use patterns, thx
