The Lib Dems have already formed a government in Scotland and Wales first of all! And in UK terms, it really does depend on the make up of parliament after the next election, whether or not there is a hung parliament, which would allow a coalition to form. If that happens, the Lib Dems would change the voting system, allowing them to be a part of govt for many years to come.
I hope they do well in the next election. I would vote for them if I lived in the UK. As it stands, the two parties we have in the uS are beyond crap!!!

The Lib Dems have already formed a government in Scotland and Wales first of all! And in UK terms, it really does depend on the make up of parliament after the next election, whether or not there is a hung parliament, which would allow a coalition to form. If that happens, the Lib Dems would change the voting system, allowing them to be a part of govt for many years to come.

Did you know Brian Paddick was a preferred Conservative candidate? He turned them down, hence Boris the last resort.
As to our council bi election, Lib-Dems came fifth, behind an independent candidate. Torys won the seat, but really everyone knew they would so nobody was really trying.
