@jazzydrum95 The general youtube community doesn't have the kind of eloquence used in your comment here- you gave an honest review, without bashing, and constructive criticisim. You also were honest without being cruel. Thank you for the kind words and tips! Hopefully I'll get to pick up the piece again some day.
I can see the expression in your body flow but I can't hear its equivalent from the marimba. One thing that helped me was to figure out the phrases, then shape it by starting softer then crescendo to its climax, then decrescendo to its end.
And of course, note accuracy helps, but everyone faces that.
Now I know that you don't want me to tell you how to play, but I take lessons from a very special person too, but I accept outside critique no matter how inexperienced or pointless.
@jazzydrums95 I suppose you would understand if you've ever been a victum of bullying, those who give contradicting advice from that of a qualified teacher (or even multiple teachers that have given contradicting lessons), or if you suffered from major anxiety. Posting on the internet helps me share with my friends and family, and helps a little bit with the anxiety thing, but that doesn't make getting mysterious and often cruel comments any easier.
