Who caused the crisis we are in now?

Unfortunately, the troubled economy started many years ago...with social security, medicare, medicaid, defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans, converting our money to currency when taken off the gold standard, etc. Politicians - both Democrats and Republicans have simply been pushing the problem forward. No one is willing to pay the price for a long succession of wasteful spending. We owe too much and can only repay by printing worthless money and taxes...But it won't work!

Actually it's been proven time and time again lower taxes promotes hiring and leads to economic growth. The republican party has a fool proof way of running an economy. A government that spends very little requires very little revenue. Texas is a prime example their state government has a surplus and a ZERO percent income tax.
