My grandpa named my Aunt after this song. He was an awesome man, and I miss him. He'd always have the piano player play this song at his favorite restaurant. Well, this song is a beautiful one and it seems I can't ever listen to it without shedding a tear or two thinking of my awesome grandpa and how I wish he was here.

Here's a challenge... I once talked to David Raksin on the phone and confirmed that there was never a recording or a public performance of his title music to "The Big Combo" (1955). He put me in touch wiht an arranger in L.A. who was supposed to be preparing an arrangement of it, but as far as I know that never happened. Any chance the world will hear a nice jazz piano rendition of The Big Combo?

This is wonderful... BUT... do you think you could come up with a version of Raksin's theme to "The Big Combo" (1955)? It is a wonderfully jazzy piece that is absolutely unrecorded and unplayed. A crime!
