The only issue I have with all these biodiesel guides is there is no explanation as to the benefits vs. it's production deficits.
Most obviously if you have to heat it up you are using BTU's burning coal to power the electricity you use to heat the oil up.
But then what of the byproduct?
Bio diesel clearly has environmental advantages over gas but is it really as advantageous as it looks if one takes into consideration all the production wastes and energy that it uses? (Is this fools gold?)
If the vehicle fuel tank is 40L for example, am i suppose to put forty times as much of 7.5grams of lye and forty times of 200ml of Methonal in the fuel tank with forty litres of vegetable oil???
Will red devil drain cleaner work as the lye ingredient. I've made soap with the stuff which is essentially like making biodiesel in many ways. It looks like olive oil soap.
i agree with tpvalley on this, just a note for you, diesel prices in the UK at the moment is £5.22 a gallon (4.54 litres) thats approx $10.58 at present exchange rate and this is why a lot of people use WVO or SVO as this works out easier and cheaper than using all these chemicals
we make the stuff for 96 cents a gallon and then we get a 50 cent per gallon tax credit for refurbishing the oil in our state. So it costs us about 50 cents a gallon to make the stuff. That is after factoring in the cost of the chemicles. We have another video coming out in a few days where we use a machine that makes it for us at 100 gallons of fuel at a time. Watch for it. The machine does everything for you.
most people can make it for about a fourth the cost of diesel with the prices around here of diesel. and in our state do to a tax credit for refurbishing the oil we get about another 50 cents a gallon back put it at about 1/8 the cost of diesel. diesel is almost $4 a gallon here right now.
Is this still cost effective after the cost of all the chemicals you have to buy?

what do you do with the glycerine byproduct?

Would biodiesel be safe in a 2005 duramax
BigTW707 6 months ago
@BigTW707 yes pre 2007 duramax are fine- its just the 2008-2010's that cannot have more than 5% due to DPF burnoff on the exahust stroke
Jthumper 5 months ago
Your videos are pretty cool I'm just scared to try it in my 2005 chevy duramax I don't want to mess up a 10k motor

how is making biodiesel cost effective? those things of heet are like 2 bucks a piece and the cost of the other ingredients arent cheap either?

Do you just put this in the tank? or got to modify the car

i was told you can add vegetable oil + about 1/5 white spirit and you get the same sort of thing is that accurate?

10 percent of that biodiesel makes my 18 wheelers smoke really bad and it have it sounding bad i wont ever buy it anymore.

Try using new pure clean vegetable oil as motor oil. Works real well- check my video out.

is possible to make diesel of waste motor oil?
againstthefallen 3 years ago 3
Yes.
bcubed72 2 years ago
@againstthefallen Yes, but you have to build a mini fracturing tower.

I believe 'biofuel' is just a generic term for any number of fuels that are produced from biological sources.
Biodiesel is a biofuel. Bioethanol is a biofuel. Biohydrogen is a biofuel.

where is next part?? and can you make bioFUEL and not bioDIESEL?
BRAINLES2PIGEON 3 years ago
no, diesel fuel is an oil, and corn and stuff like that cant make gasoline like fuels

I just run veg oil from the shops, it costs half of the price if diesel.
Why bother with all this fuss with chemicals? just use it if u have a bosch pump, loads of people do here.
