hello i am a math HATER like i almost failed math, hated everything about it, but somehow all of these videos have caught my attention, i enjoy them ALOT, so i say THANK YOU for making actually start liking math
from this you can figure out that if you want to sum the even numbers you just can do this look
if the sum from k=1 to n of 2k-1=n^2 then the sum from k=1 to n of 2k will be this plus the sum from k=1 to n of 1 wich is just n sooo
the sum from k=1 to n of 2k=n^2+n and those are the even numbers also if you take the two out of the sum you get that the sum from k=1 to n of k is (n^2+n)/2 which is the sum of all natural numbers
i wish they could use you as a living textbook , and replace all those other confusing teachers! ^_^ no offence to all the other great teachers out there. but damn! there are those that dont seem to love their job and do their thing;; to TEACH kids & actually make them pass.
teachers should really evaluate how you teach so they can learn some teaching tips. ..haha, now theres an irony !
THANK YOU!! Books can't explain in simple terms what you need to know. I can read everything you are saying, but the textbooks ASSUME you understand this math already. ha! Nope! But you sure helped!! THANKS!
mistake at 3:46 he says it works pretty well for the "sequence of squares" but he is not yet there as he still is on the odd number sequence... but still good vid

Math is magic, and music is math.
Ever see DIsney's "Donald In Mathmagic Land"?
Seeing it as a kid profoundly influenced my love for numbers.

i think the sum of (2k-1), for k=1 to n, it is equal to k^2 ,instead of n^2.
Goni8607 1 year ago
@Goni8607 nup, because n is the last term.

@danielcohen88 Verry correct.

Agreed. Almost everything can be expressed in a scientific idea or equation. Pwns history and geography + all other almost useless subjects.
