if its hard to open, pull out the drawer fully and if you look on the bottom of the drawer there is these two sticky pads on the bottom, if you take those off it will be easier to open.

No...but it did come with two brushes that you can use. I just love the brushes that I have and I use them everyday.

You should really look into getting the pallet...there are soooo many cool looks you can do with it <3
