The difference between 5770 and 4850 in a game like BC2 which uses a lot of cpu is very very small.

@helldrag0n47 not too high but a fine fps considering your specs, 8800gt plus amd athalon x2 6400+ and 4 gigs of gskill ddr3 I believe and you have about 50-60 fps average on medium with under and overgrowth set to low and bloom off and at 1152x864

seems like a decent cfg. go to canyourunit site

select battlefield bad company 2 and see the test. it will list required cfg and your cfg.

try with updating your graphic driver. . .

all in all, BFBC2 is a great game, but most of the people need a new computer to play it, and game isnt worth 1600 bucks.

Did u OC or anything? If u did, revert to stock clocks. it might be corrupt ram. Trying taking out the ram, and put it back in. If not, try to get a spare and see if its the ram.

@TheJugernaut94 1x AA has to do with DX9 if you put it in DX10 you'll get like 4x AA.

@firestormcomputers yeah but I found out that in some game 4850 beat 260 gtx and vice versa. But 4850 run in 10.1 DX which mean I can upgrade it to 11 DX (woohoo haha) but with 260 GTX I can get almost 2 GB, then again I don't need all that much of memory since my current (AGP card) is using like 256 mb and still good ahaha.

Fraps costs you about 10-15 FPS because it uses so much disk space , 1 GB per minute , so get a clue before flaming vectima same.

ah thanks man i already have fraps premium and like 130 movies, i just have had problems with my shitty 7900 and no space on my shitty 120 gig hard drive, so ive finally upgraded hopefully will be much better filming.

1 last question how much would 4 gigs of ram differ from 8 gigs? Will it make a huge difference in gaming? Will it make FPS higher?
