Detroit has some of the most strict gun control laws in the US. It was also named the most dangerous city in the US last year. It is WORSE than Philly. Stricter gun laws are not the answer because criminals don't listen to the law. Philly wants to sue PA because it won't allow them to implement laws such as paying a $10 registration fee per year, limiting the purchase of guns to one per month, etc... Do you think the black market will listen to that? If so, you're naive.

How about giving Philly kids something to do instead of letting them loose on the streets and turning to gang life. That's their problem! Clean up the neighborhoods around there. Educate the people. Gun control is only a false sense of security. If I were a criminal listening to this I'd head right over there and rob all the houses I could, because I'd know that Philadelphia's citizens are unarmed and not dangerous to me.

Cain, who has a rap sheet 15 pages long, has a boat load of charges ranging from simple assault to burglary to weapons posession to kidnapping...charges the D.A. REFUSED to prosecute him on. Thanks for your comment MIT1369. I appreciate your statement, but our initiative has nothing to do with banning guns. In fact we believe that every law abiding citizen has the right to own a gun and to bear arms. Check out Governor Ed Rendell's video to better understand the loop holes that are being used by illegal gun traffickers throughout Penna. We are not out to disarm the lawful. I, also am fully supporting Law Enforcement in trying to stop the trafficing in "Illegal Weapons". However giving the track record of liberal politicians, draconian gun control laws that only affect Lawful Citizens and the final solution stated by the heads of Brady Campaign, HCI Inc. and all the other believers that "More Laws Will Stop Criminals!"
