got a refurb on ebay for $159 shipped! Its AWSOME... wish it had flash, and still struggleing to find a video converter that doesnt skrew up the audio sync... I'll work it out soon...
Unfortunately this must be fake. This video is 1 year old, and still I haven't heard anywhere how could it be possible to add new applications on the 604 WiFi. Let me know if I'm wrong though, I really hope it could be possible some day!
I wish this were not fake, I really do. I'm almost at the point off willing myself to believe that he managed to do this.
Sad to say that as he refuses to even comment on how he did it, its most likely just a video of him using Joost on his PC which he imported onto his archos.
See, I was thinking it might be fake; but I couldn't figure out how. I hadn't thought about it being superimposed until you mentioned it. Taking a closer look, though, it would have to be a really clever superimposing job: the would-be superimposed image and the machine go out of focus at the same time, and the reflections and shadows seem to sync on the chrome on the machine and screen/image. The simplest explanation still seems to be that its fake...
How did you get Joost to work on an Archos 604 Wifi? I thought Joost was only available as a Windows application? Is there a hack or a patch I would need to make this work? Are any of the Archos plugins necessary?
can any one tell me where you can buy a archos 604

I a fellow archos user think it's fake.
it lookes like he just super-imposed some video on the archos....especially because the video is scaled

It's possible Joost is scaling it (it might not be friendly with the 604's screen resolution.

But I want to believe...
