If only you went to the Tijuana Sloughs a 1/4 mile south of there...
I'm sure the lefts at middle peak would have been smoking this day. I've never been there but according to Bank Wright's Surfing California book, this is a spooky big wave break that never closes out, unlike this pier. I'm intrigued to surf it one of these days, but anyway, thanks for the vid, and if you did check the sloughs, how was it?.

Check out my footage of a very esoteric spot going off on this same day. It has to be really big, the right direction, and really low tide.
