You can keep saying you've won more titles, but who's bigger out of, say, Fulham and Luton? One of them has never won anything, one has won at least A trophy. Which is which? It is irrelevant to say titles won during the reign of Queen Victoria are worth as much as trophies won in the last 4/5 decades, or as much as European Trophies - something you have NEVER won.

Firstly, Sunderland (280,000 people) is a bigger city than Newcastle (277,000), if only marginally. As for Forest and Arsenal? See my point about Luton (5th tier) and Fulham (1st tier). I was making THE SAME POINT as you now are. There is more to being a big club than winning a specific trophy, or all trophies, for that matter. I also like the fact you refer to the European Cup Winners Cup as a 3rd rate trophy. I highly doubt you would be saying that if you'd won it.

Sunderland have made huge progress in the last few years, and finished mid table which was the aim at the start of the season. Huge progression was made to push on for a top 6/7 finish, but unfortunately, a large amount of injuries halted progress.

The only place I mentioned the size of the city was to say that Sunderland is marginally bigger than Newcastle, yet they have consistently had much bigger crowds than you (even when in the Championship) and are generally a better supported team.
