@Shirasonie The word tongues in the Bible just refers to foreign languages. Most people today try to make it something more that it is when it's just the way people spoke during those times. People tend to forget that as time passes, we become more redundant and are misinterpret even the obvious.

There is a way to honor God without sounding like a babbling fool. If you read Matthew 6:6-7 it talks about vain repetition. That is why I don't consider speaking in tongues scriptual.

@TheSnoop105 Yes it is.Look in your bible for yourself. Acts Chapter 2, Corinthians Chapter 12, 13 and 14, as well as many other places I can give you if you want. You don't have to believe in it or the bible, but it is definitely a strong biblical principle.

There are many more as well, it is VERY scriptural, I am at University Studying Theology so I do know what I am talking about, I can even look into the original Greek to confirm it. You don't have to believe what the scripture says, but to say speaking in tongues is not scriptural is untrue. Do you need more verses? I can get them.
