I just watched these movies a day apart, the two girls (or nymphets as Humbert Humbert calls them) are different in appearance, both compellingly beautiful. Aren't we getting "The Professional" confused with "Leon"?
the difference is that mathilda and leon had nothing sexual going on, unlike lolita and jeremy irons (who by the way i thought played his character role really really well)..
just and observation; mathilda character on the movie was not meant to be a 'lolita' it was a whole different story her family was murdered and she was left orphan and leon gave her a place to stay cause he felt sorry for her and eventually mathilda asked him to kill the people who murdered her family since he was a professional paid killer there wasnt anything sexual or seductive at all on this film. Lolita on the other hand was very aware of her sexuality and the power that she got over HH
Lolita is so big!!, I think that the role coul fit better in a girl who looks more like a teen, like Mathilda, and Mathilda character really rocks, is the best role that Natalie has
What I find ironic is that the Lolita people supposedly nearly went to *illegal* measures to get Natalie Portman (Mathila) to play Lolita. I think she made the right call turning them down. Jailbait for pedos (NOT THAT LEON IS ONE!) would be a pretty bad role to be typecast in, I would think. Personally, I think that most of the parallels between the two films are superficial, and if anything, contrasting them only shows how unsubtle and vulgar Lolita was in comparison to The Professional.
tienes razon aunque el rotro de dominique swain es como mas dulce... eso no quiere decir que le resto importancia a tu lolita favorita. solo quiero comentar que es cuestion de gustos felicidades tienes buen gusto xD
I have not seen Mathilda..that's the name of the movie?? Well, I only know that i wil always love..not "she" but the movie and the book Lolita (and Jeremy Irons) great song
WOW There ARE alot of similarities, I've seen both films and never noticed. This was really good. At least things ended better for Mathilda then they did for Lolita. Poor girls.
Great montage of the two movies there. I'm glad to see your comments are not (yet) polluted with "kill the pedo's" and "oh you are so sick" rubbish, what a plesant change :)
omg! i love this! it's great. two amazing movies at one time. it's really cute. I do know that they put this song in the original Lolita movie but does anybody know what's it called because i love it. I'd really appreciate it. ♥

I don't know. I had to change the former song because of copyright infringement. It's a song from Youtube, an "AudioSwap" one.

You're welcome.
I love it because it reflects my experience with the movies very well.
I fell in LOVE with Lolita, the book, so of course I had to see the movie.
I actually saw it before Leon, but when I was watching Leon this video was pretty much my thought process.
Especially the running hugs and lying on a bed parts.
I mean, I thought the lying on the bed part of Leon was pretty much exactaly the same.
Anyways, I loved it. Great job.
