Right, first of all, I don't think you know very much about how adoption works. There are over 100,000 children in foster care waiting for permanent homes in America. Preference in placement? They can't even find enough parents to adopt them! That's why children age out of the system without ever having had a permanent home. The gay adoption ban in Florida does a great deal of harm by making it impossible for perfectly well-qualified people to adopt children in need.
And, Right, it is only Florida which has this archaic law. This is not the case in other states. I myself have two gay dads, and our non bio dad adopted us in California when we were little, and that was back in the 80s. There have been *tons* of studies on children with gay and lesbian parents, also, and they all say that we are the same as anyone else, and there is absolutely no disadvantage to growing up in a same-sex home. The best environment is one filled with love and stability.
