@leftlanetheory The reason i keep coming back to your videos, is because the playing is so fluent and natural that it seems as if you don't tab out your solos and you just play what you feel at the time of recording. Ryan is definitely amazing and very melodic, more so than I, but I definitely do not try and play as many notes as possible even though Paul Gilbert is one of my main influences and you could say that about most his stuff from the early days. Ryan and I are different and it's not a competition, just trying to bring good music to fellow guitar players, I guess you can't please everyone though.

@KreatorOfDeath1985 try ebay. Most Ibanez necks are interchangeable. I put a 2003' Neck (from a RG2620QM Prestige; profile: Ultra) on a 2001' RG470 body without a problem.

Original Wizard Neck

the original wizards were thinner than the prestiges, Also, Wizard necks almost all had Square heels (Check out Dylans 550) the newer ibanez'z have the AANJ.

Prestige necks are real nice though just expensive, wont find a quality neck for less than 200 and thats JUST the neck!!!

About the price... well yes, decent ones are expensive, but cheaper than a new neck of the same quality. You can save a lot of money on 2nd hand bodies thought. I got the RG470 body for 45 bucks on ebay (awesome purple metallic finish) and it's MIJ. And the neck was 160 bucks. The expensive stuff was the hardware...

My neck has birds eye maple with a nice rosewood fretboard and extra jumbo stainless frets. Gotoh Tuners, and original Edge Pro bridge, SUPER nice.

I dont see why you would ruin a original wizard by re drilling... Im the kinda guy that cringes when he sees a 1969 GTO jump off a ramp and explode in the movies.

But thinking about building a franken Prestige you need the body MIJ and Originally come with the Wizard III

@KreatorOfDeath1985 The Edge Pro is still in production, but I'm not sure which models come equipped with it. Also, redrilling a wizard neck to retrofit on a newer body is just an option. Personally I'd prefer to use an old body where no drilling is necessary.

Franken presitiges are nice, I used following hardware on mine (2620 neck, 470 body): OFR, Dimarzio D-Activator X (2 PP-poti (each PU splittable), no-tone-poti, toggle-switching on custom mirror PG) and Grover tuners.
