DON'T !!! For the love of god don't do it to yourselves. They don't teach you anything and make you do everything by yourself, half of the time you find yourself asking what you need to study and from where, EVERYBODY cheats in all the written exams and the oral is just luck-which topic and examiner. Some of the teachers don't fit to even know 3rd grade English and some just hate humans and enjoy humiliating/abusing students
Anisson mentions people will hurt you. Who? Why? Mentions Romania. Is he an agent for them? Tutors tried to fail him in Debrecen! Did God tell them to pass him?
Debrecen like any Uni is hard work. More students have passed A levels in UK far less places in Unis. Debrecen should be considered.

As to some people who should not have become doctors, that happens in other Unis as well. Apologies if any offence caused by other remarks. Just to re-iterate that I still regard Debrecen as still one of the best Uni in EU.

anyway, an oral exam can never be perfectly correct, but there's no other way. at exams it can turn out, who's incapable to handle stress and trust in him/her knowledge = incapable to be a doctor! so i agree that most teachers keep the distance and won't cherish you, it's not the kindergarten. i don't think that a well- prepared, clever, self- confident student would have problems here.

Thats why i succeeded, because i did my best, mastered the stuff, and all went well. but, i saw many who were not fit to be doctors succeed, and many who were fit, fail, at least for a while. it is this arbitrary horseshit that i didnt like. regardless of whether one succeeds, or not, injustice, is injustice.
Debrecen is a great place to study, im totally satisfied with it. most lectures are useful and contain the informations to pass an exam (their text is reachable on the internet, so you can't miss anything). i haven't heard an english one yet, but i don't think they would be incomprehensible because of the accent.
In other institutions,when u pass an exam, u feel uve made ur school proud!Here, when u pass, u feel uve defeated ur school,and beaten the teachers.Now thats not healthy. Instead of the staff making u feel they are with u, they make it seem like its them vs us! Hence when u pass, u feel uve shown them! haha.i blame them for this unhealthy and pedagogically wrong environment.one reason students survive, and I survived, was because we just distanced ourselves from the staff,whenever we could.

The schools publications are in putrid, horrid english, and some of the teachers might as well be speaking in Alien Language. thats how bad their english proficiency is. some are good, but many are not. Please, go to debrecen medical school, only if u have NO OTHER CHOICE! if u have other possibilities, i suggest u explore those. when all else is exhausted, then go there. and even then, if u can move after yr one..do so! i am. im done with first yr so im doing my second yr in slovakia or romania
They are an old, and rich institution, and hence do not bother to support students thru med. school. other schools seek to make students graduate with no hassle beyond what is necessary and expected from med. school. Here, they seek to KEEP u for as many yrs as possible, to drain u dry financially. And they therefore fail u, when u dont deserve it, or pass u when u dont deserve it either.All went well for me, but still, i deserved it, and they still tried to destroy me. Thank God they failed.
The Anatomy Department, headed by an evil dwarf called Antal, and supported by his equally short, but even more evil cousin called Zoltan, is the worst, together with the cell biology department. They have a number of ppl they fail per day, and a number they pass. So no matter what u do, if they dont like ur face, ur going down. u may pass after one, two, three tries,(within same exam period) but still, they make sure to, at best, give u unnecessary headache.
I just finished my first yr of general medicine here. I have 5 bros, all of whom are doing, or plan on doing medicine. Some in slovakia, norway, etc..I wanted some to be with me in Debrecen, but no more. I wouldnt wish my worst enemy to come to this med. school. They fail u just for the fuck of it! The first yr went well for me, but i plan on continuing elsewhere. Med. school is hard enough without teachers with inferiority complex, and megalomaniacal tendencies. For ur own sake, DONT GO THERE!

If you are looking for an easy way to be a doctor, you should probably go to one of those shaman schools in native africa. There is no easy way to become a doctor.
The problem with this uni (if you consider it a problem at all) is that unlike american universities they allow any retard in. Luckly they have a system where they weed out all the uncapable students. Are you going to tell me that nobody is able to finish the course without repeating a year? Everybody don't be deceived by what this person says. There are many like him-her. I have 2 close friends that are in that course one in the 5th year the other one in the 2nd.
Arrange your accomodation first as there is a talk about giving priority to students from non-EU countries in the hostel. Looks as if they want students from Non-EU rather than EU countries.

English is becoming popular in Debrecen so should not have much problem. Language in the Uni is English. But it is expected to learn Hungarian after 3rd year as you need to talk to Hungarian patients.

The building they show in the beginning is the Main Hall in front of the Uni where the Uni post office, bookshop are located. The other buildings after the first one is building in the town probably to show you the town itself. Just shows that Bigjay has NEVER been to Debrecen. Bigjay, you have never been to Debrecen. You are just a publicist for Caribbean Universities. The University is quite large with different buildings. The tutors are friendly. Where did you get the idea that American students did not want to do the video? Time you publicise your universities elsewhere huh?
To the viewers if you want to see how this school is go there and stay for a month. During the testing period is the best time because then u will see. Ask students from every years. Ask the americans because they will tell u the truth. Most of the americans didnt want to be in this video.

I did not change the Uni. Its just that a lot of students are coming from a oil rich kingdom, and those who forgot to fill in the forms to stay in hostel (Auguszta Hotel) have had to find their own residence. It seems that the kingdom may have sent all its students here.

Debrecen is beautiful town and the Uni is one of the best in Europe. The Proffesors are fair. As to Skinheads I have never come across one yet. Debrecen has the prospect to become a University town of Europe.

I'm a successful graduate and I did not "purchase" any "Exams".People who do not succeed need to make excuses for their failures. It's difficult, as any med school should be! It's a safe school and a safe city, especially compared to other major cities! AND compared to Caribbean.. well, it can't even be compared, Debrecen is in a whole different league!!! An education in Debrecen is far better, study hard and you will succeed!!

The students are getting paid to say good things for the school. it is school based on corruption. u cant pass if you dont buy test. otherwise u just fail. i am happy to transfer out. debrecen city is nice and a good place but when it eu joined now alot of skin heads are coming in and just beating people of other races. believe me my friends got jumped and went to the hospital. Go to caribeans its faster and u dont have to stay there so long for school.

I'm a successful graduate and I did not "purchase" any "Exams".People who do not succeed need to make excuses for their failures. It's difficult, as any med school should be! It's a safe school and a safe city, especially compared to other major cities! AND compared to Caribbean.. well, it can't even be compared, Debrecen is in a whole different league!!! An education in Debrecen is far better, study hard and you will succeed!!

and i have seen smart people fail n people who should never become doctors become doctors here.
ive seen some fucked up things happen. i even seen people get lucky. u might have been one of those lucky ones who went through untouched......

These are peopel paid to sell the place. dont go here. i went here and transfered here. now there are so many skin heads that people get jumped all the time.

hi bigjay im studing medicine in dubai.i was gonna go 2 debrecen but i changed my mind.i have decided to stay here(dubai) and after 2-3 years transfer to us or canada.can u give me some more info about uni,city,people,.... .im persian,im comfortable in dubai u can c alot ppl frm all over the world and it has alot of places to go but the uni is not perfect.dude ill do appericiate i u reply it.thnx.all da best 4 u.bye
