@JaniFoundation I haven't read all the comments that have been coming at you from people that don't agree with your use of medication on your child. I don't even know your story fully. BUT, I think that a lot of people aren't "anti-medication people", they are just "anti-medication-in-someone-as-young-as-your-daughter-with-as-high-as-doses-as-she-is-getting people. I have borderline personality disorder & depression. But I'm not sure if someone as young as your daughter needs that high of doses.
@NIMHgov According to the study you cited, the percentages of developemental delay are pretty low (2.2%). That kind of percentage could be typical in many other types of behaviors. And then this does not imply at all "progressive deterioration" (sans use of neuroleptics) it just implys differences in brain structure which can be seen in all people. Anyone reading this "study" can see grandiose claims are being made from minimal findings. And of course you wont approve this comment will you.
@beautifulmind546 You are right. It proves nothing other than there is a correlation between the loss of brain matter and schizophrenia. However, what you don't seem to realize is YOU don't prove anything either. Simply saying these drugs destroy the mind doesn't make it true. You may indeed be right but you will never win your argument without some actual evidence. It is called science. You need to support your hypothesis with empirical evidence and rule out other potential causes.
@JaniFoundation loook at your child, and the meds you force her, she needs to believe on her. just because you do not understand her, does not make her ill.
@JaniFoundation beautifulmind546 and Isis bridge are so incredibly ignorant. I myself am 27 years old and suffered with SEVERE ocd, depression and anxiety during childhood. At the age of 20 it turned into full blown panic disorder with major depression. I had no idea what was wrong with me and thought I was demon posessed or going insane. Psychiatric medication is the ONLY thing that freed me from my mental hell and made me well again.
@hardyharlol701 it's easy for people that haven't walked in your shoes or know someone well that's walk in your shoes to judge you when they don't know a thing about you, except for a few comments that you make on youtube. It's pretty sad. Don't let it bother you. Good luck, take care. :)
@Isisbridge. See that's just it: "Presumably the owner of this brain had been taking antipsychotic medications, which affected their brain development." You are indeed presuming. You have no proof. That is the problem with all you anti-medication people. YOU HAVE NO PROOF TO SUPPORT YOUR CLAIMS. No matter what you see you twist it to support your belief system.
@IndigoCat17 That's because it's basically the same thing. They both hear voices, the exception being one attributes it to god or something equally close-minded.
