  • The lead singer performs with the Sheps.

  • @Lorenzo1950 Also the song doesn't have a bridge. It just builds and builds on the verse. One of my favorite songs.

  • Very good observation. I have to agree.. It's like a slow buildup to an eventual explosion. You know it's going to happen.. You just don't know when (at least the first time you play it)

  • lots of soul here! thanks PJ. tom d brick,nj

  • You're welcome

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • What a great song, never heard it before. Never heard of the group either. If you have anymore by this group i like to hear them. I can hear Little Anthony and the Imperial voices all over this song. Great post, thanks.

  • They only had two 45s that I know of. Technically three, but one was a reissue of this

  • Beautiful is the perfect word for this song!

    Love this!

  • This is lovely! I've got my mac hooked up to my amp and speakers and the sound is amazing, -said it once and I'll say it again, many thanks for making these great tunes available to us in such *great* quality man! :)

    ~Peace.

  • This 45 was mastered by Audiomatrix.. Their 45s usually sound great

  • I have this on TS-6012 with "Love from the Far East" on the flip side. pinkfloyd59

  • This also has "Love From The Far East" on the flip. 6012 is a styrene copy with the cartoon characters on the label. Both are rare but that's the rarer of the two

  • Great song here, hadn't ever heard this before, But I would want to listen it this alot!

    Thanks

    Cynthia

  • A new one for me. Enjoyed listen to it. Thank you PJ !!!

You know I kid you - Well not - I mean - Well Not - I mean - Oh I don't know what I mean just listen too confused OK - You just listen and enjoy lol that my friend PJ get me in trouble lol Enjoy

  • I have this on Dynamite Soul Harmony Volume 1 LP, DSH 7001, but interestingly, they have it as by the Jet Set, on Rojac, released 1969. This is a super LP with many great cuts, including You're All I Live For/Four Vibes, Girl of the Night/Uptites, and Back to School Again/Cashmeres.

  • Thank you

  • LOVE IT!!

  • This was played in Phila. A great example of the Phila sound, such as the Moments, etc.

  • I didn't realize this got airplay in Philly. I am unsure if this is a NY or NJ group, but the lead currently lives in Central NJ

  • Killer Piece!!!

  • Thanks man

  • @PJDooWop - ADDED TO MY PRIVATE ARSENAL - Thanks will put to good use, you give an assit to gain some yardage (football talk) and maybe help me score a touchdown, the key operative word syllable is "touch" well what can I syllabically say?

  • Makes sense. Hopefully it helps

  • FANTASTIC!

    thank you again brian .

  • The sheer rarity and obscurity of this tune makes it special. The voice(s) and arrangement is stellar, but I find the lyrics awkward. Wish I could go back in the DooWop Time Machine and give the words better punch and flow.

  • I noticed the awkwardness of the lyrics too
