  • @EMOxUSAGI yes it is a cover of Bob Marleys. it took about half hour, it was summer so the heat helped the process.

  • @LizzFrancii check description please :)

  • what is the name of the song? o:

turned out beautifully by the way. :3

  • @SierraSexToy check description please :)

  • My favorite melted crayon video!

  • who sings this song?

  • this is the first video i've seen that didn't use a rainbow pattern.

    unique in its own.

    very lovely.

  • ur the first person ive seen who didnt do the rainbow. i give you props.

  • its beautiful

  • whhat do you use to place them on there?

  • did you glaze or varnish it?

  • did you just put them in random color

  • XAVIER!!

  • this is soooo great!

  • I love your color layout. I've fallen in love with this technique and really want to give it a try. Thanks for posting your video and also having pleasant music to go along with it. Being an older lady, I like the more soothing type music that you used. lol

And yes, dear, you are an artist - a good one!!!

  • wow this is gorgeous so have to try it

  • how long did it take

  • try sticking a crayon into a hot glue gun.

  • @PhamtasticAlena Just know that when you do that it will ruin the gun and you can never use it again... But it creates a really interesting texture and design! A girl named turtlewings made a video using a glue gun and crayons called Crayon Painting if you would like to see how it came out!...

  • One man's meat, I suppose. my kids would cry to see crayons being killed this way. And the mother in me was worrying about the mess on the floor and wanting to come along and clean it up with a cloth. But I like the colours...

  • @hicsumfabulalepus its actually not that messy, as long as you have wax paper on the bottom of the canvas/board its an easy clean up. Thanks for watching!

  • @keelsdrawing I actually showed this to my kids and they got excited and started asking if they could try it! Colour me surprised! :) Could you let me know if there's any way of preserving this artwork after it's done, cause I would imagine it could chip easily. They were very impressed and loved it, so thank you for posting and inspiring the next generation of artists! :) :)

  • @hicsumfabulalepus the best way to preserve that I can tell you is not to make sure the art piece isn't in contact with ANY sunlight, artificial light is fine and if you want to spray it at all i would recommend at least 4-5 layers of hairspray or clear lacquer. Have fun! (stick with crayola crayons for best melting effect!)

  • @keelsdrawing Thank you, we're gonna have fun I think, :)

  • @keelsdrawing I agree with the spray lacquer... You can buy it at any hardware or do it center... Might want to stay away from the brush on lacquer... Also I have noticed that you get a better effect with the Crayola brand... They don't bleed into another as much... You still get the nice blending but it doesn't turn ugly colors when they come together! Hope this helps!!!... <3

  • @keelsdrawing you can preserve it with resin but you would have to be familiar with resin in order to get it right w/o a mess. I use Envirotext brand. If your using a canvas use the heavy duty painters tape to do build a wall to keep the resin from escaping.

  • @hicsumfabulalepus ohh hehe but actualy during school time b4 kids go into school wher i luv the crayola crayons pack of 24 ar super cheap!! so thats a good time to buy if u live in the u.s. idk bout anywher else sorry

  • i'm Trying this <3 I'ts soo cool!

  • I did not enjoy the backround music. -_-

  • Nyan cat was here

  • @bestdogonearth haha :D

  • arent you supposed to peel them first.?

    o-o

  • @ultracrazy2 depends what you want it to look like.

  • @ultracrazy2 It really just depends on what they want to do...

  • Wow! Look at 1:07 when the sun is hitting the wax - it looks so cool. This is so amazing!

  • You are a genius!! Love this piece of art!!!

  • looks like a encaustic painting! and cool ive always wanted to play with encaustic but its really exspensive, but ill play with crayons thanks for the upload.

  • It would be awesome if you turned the canvas upside down and melted another set of crayons.

  • That's 5 dollars and 56 cents worth a crayons woman are you crazy!?!?

  • @idk1533 nope. i am an artist. this is the cheapest art you can make.

  • @keelsdrawing YEAH, Artists unite!

  • @keelsdrawing that was a good comment i am an artist you are a artist i do fashion design but not fashion as in wearing it make art in fashion i am not a designer but a artist :)

  • @idk1533 if she can sell it for 30, that's a good profit :)

  • @idk1533 $5.56 Isnt That Much Money, Im 13, Dont Get An Allowence And Even I Can Afford That.

  • @idk1533 Not to mention the amount of electricity to power that hair dryer! Insane!

  • @FreeEyf I know right! haha

  • @idk1533 Was that a everybody hates Chris reference? XD

  • @glamorchick954 yep hahaha :D

  • ...can i do this to my wall?

  • @xXRoxyNewlyRisenXx I suppose so? it would be a cool project thats for sure, it chips rather easily though. so your call.

  • i did this on a foam board and it came out horrible. i wanna redo it on a canvas

  • that turned out really awesome like the random colors on black canvas

  • I like how you set out the colors!!!! Great video :)

  • How did you get the crayons to stay?

  • @KAZbiggestBIEBERfan hot glue

  • @wolfatheart20 its a personal preference to take it off or leave it on. Having the paper on directs it more downward where having it off spreads it out a bit more.

  • i think this is the best melting crayons video on youtube because you didnt put them in a straight line or in rainbow order and you used a black canvas! really shows the colors :) great job it looks beautiful!

also, where did you buy that table you are working on? i have been looking for one for some time now and they are so expensive :( can that table be a flat horizontal surface?

  • @LioeIe Thank you so much! I know right?! I was sick of the rainbow lameness. I just took a picture of a city night skyline and adapted to that color arrangement.

This table I have is a drafting table, I got this one for $300. Only because I will use it for my life in art. It was an investment. What I would suggest is to check local 'selling/trade' sites such as kijiji. The table can be completely flat horizontally, but not vertically, in this video thats the most it can angle upwards.

  • @keelsdrawing Thank you so much for replying :) i will check out that site!

  • whats the name of the song? and great video

  • @heyitscarla No woman No Cry by Xavier Rudd

  • @heyitscarla by bob marley for original

  • Could you do this on a piece of printer paper?

  • @SunshineCrafts Im sure you COULD, but- the piece of paper would most definitley get all 'ripple' like from the heat and wax. not the best idea but its worth a shot?

  • I thought this was lovely ! I'm doing this for a physics project and I"m glad to see that it worked out nicely on a black board (i have a black canvas!) I've seen this video like 10 times with my sisters and they still ask to see it. :)

  • @KidJane95 thanks for watching! Yeah i'd suggest doing it on a black foamboard because of the sturdiness of it, canvas will heat up too quickly and may burn the canvas. But go ahead and experiment! Thank you so much for the views! :)

  • @keelsdrawing woah this is reallyy cool!! do u think that if i do all of this but on a sweatshirt it would work? and is the melted crayon flexible are hard? and if hard, then how harrdd? haah

  • @TheDamnSnickerDoodle Thanks for watching! I don't think that is a good idea because it is just normal wax, easily breakable, not so flexible. If you were to try and wear it, it would be like wearing a piece of cardboard lol

  • @keelsdrawing okay thanks!:D
