It's only lately that video cameras have been sensitive enough to capture something of what's like to look through a telescope with one's own physical eyel. There's really nothing like it. There are moments of amazing clarity. I'm now too old to stoop over an eyepiece, and my eyesight has aged.
I'm guessing your magnification is somewhere around 500x? I know from experience that the view with the naked eye to lens is a lot better then camera to lens. Nice video.
well if as many people says there are aliens on the moon you could see their alien lices with that zoom! have you seen any of that doubious "alien bases" that people show in pics?
@mamatalu yes i have observed the spots, but you can not see the Flag that's still to far away. This shots looks very close, but its stil so far away!
@bosb33r I read some people getting some real improvement from them. But at 50 $ the set they are expensive. I saw some people doing their home made pad using
silicon i think. They were still getting good result. Just do some research on cloudynight forum.
EXcellent !!! Can you imagine how that frames will be if your cam will have a greater resolution and greater sensitivity ( < 0.3 lux) + 3x barlow ? :) That combination It's a good solution to get closer to the Moon ground. I'll try something like this with a Canon HF S21 Cam ( after I'll buy it). Congratulations!!!
Wow this is incredible :D I just finished cleaning my old celestron 8 inch telescope :D its like new :D all it needs is collminating and its ready :) Awesome vid as always!
@bosb33r Simple :D I used windex! :) But before I used it I asked the company what they use to clean it! They told me that since my old celestron 8 inch has no Special Coating on the corrector plate, That its ok to clean It with Windex. And When I removed the corrector plate, It looked like a regular glass that our windows use! I guess the newer ones have special coatings and are made of different glass! I used windex though.
I was outside about two hours ago and took a few minutes to gaze up at the Moon myself, and while I froze my butt off (-16c here in Toronto), the seeing conditions looked to be spectacular for awhile. Did you shoot this footage earlier tonight?

You have some fantastic videos here! Have you tried replicating the GRIDKEEPER/JLW space machine videos? what do you think of them?

@coper01 we can't see that back side of the moon, when appollo 11 landed it was on the backside where are telescopes can't view
