when i did the video, i named it "passion/reason" about the two feelings, passion like ink, overtaking reason and multiplying, and then reason outlasting passion. It's a very gothic and spiritual song. That's the imagery I got from listening 300x! BUT her lyrics alone suggest that the mouth's cradle is a sort of place of holy origin, like a god or spirit that she finds refuge in. The last two lines? "shelter to build an altar away from the osamas and bushes". thanks, glad you enjoyed it! xo ls

They actually do, I spent a long time timing the cuts to beats, especially when the song slows down to nothing but, BUT youtube creates a slight lag in time where audio and video (because of the quality compression) do not line up as they were. Thanks for your observation though - I know, it bothers me a lot too.

Yeah, I was kind of sad when it happened, because it takes quite a bit of effort to get things in sync! It may have been the way I compressed it in the video editing for Youtube only. My master version is not like that, also - compression made mine a bit darker than it was as a master.

Took about 8 hours to shoot, emptying the water and then refilling, then adding the dye over and over again, focusing was difficult sometimes. Editing, however, took about 70 hours altogether, because there were 4 hours of footage to go through. I'm glad you like it, thank you!

This song does have a meaning. I heard it is about breastfeeding. BTW the music set to the Pripyat, Ukraine (Chernobyl) images are a lot more powerful. Pripyat was a city evacuated from the radiation in 1986, and was left as it is.

No, I would disagree. There is lag on youtube, between sight and sound unfortunetly. Most movements on this video align with beats in the song, especially the heavy bass later in. It also grows in complexity as the song does, to the point where it reflects gothic chapel scenery to align with the gothic voices rising in the song. I guess of course, you might be the same type of person who looks at a Pollock and says, "Anybody could have splattered paint on a canvas!", wouldn't you?

this video is so mesmerizin. I particularly love 1:30 where the 2 small drops of black start to fall into the flower but stops mid-drip(I also like that the flower & ink are sideways,but the ink still looks as though it's dripping down). then the ink just snakes in & engulfs the flower from the middle part outward. very pretty :D
