I have them everywhere.. the worst one are around my eyes which i hate because during the summer i look like a raccoon.. But i live in Scandinavia where we don't get a lot of sun so that's a plus.
I got vitiligo too...and i mean it's bad,but Im thankfull that it doesnt affect my health. And hopefully my vitiligo is going away. Slow, but still. I don't know how.But you must know there is hope.Just try :)
I've seen people around my old high school with this disorder but at the time I didn't know it was a skin disorder. I've never thought of them as strange, I always figured it was what's called a 'coffee stain' birth mark that was larger than normal. I've never judged these people when I've seen them either. I actually think this skin disorder is beautiful.
I have vitiligo and I hate it a lot. Going to the beach sucks, people look at me like i'm an alien. I am thankful that I have a disease that doesn't effect my health, but it is still something hard to grow up with when you're a 16 year old girl. I've tried many creams and steroids, but I heard about a light treatment. I've wanted to try it but it seems like it would cost a lot of money. Sometimes I accept the fact i'll live with this forever, but then other times it's overwhelming.
@ImBriMarie I have Vitiligo since I was seven. You probably don't know about it, but going to the dead sea in Israel can heal Vitiligo. I just know it because I am jewish.
You can get more informations on internet, and many doctors know about it (they just don't like to speak about it... Yeah, it sounds weird, but it is a reality.)
I have the same thing! And I get made fun of alll the time, I hate it. I've had it since I was 5. I have it under my eyes, my elbows, my knees, my ankles, my sides, and some on my hands. I'm really self conscience about it.
Hey I am dealing with vitiligo also. I have to say I have gotten a lot better at accepting it but I wouldnt mind if they went away...lol...I have had it since I was 10. I tried different treatments and some have worked but I am sick of trying different medicine and oils for long periods of time. I have decided to try a natural diet. Basically I avoid certain foods that might cause vitiligo or make it worse. I also expose it to more sunlight. I will keep you guys updated! :)
i heard a man in iran was cured from vitiligo using stem cell treatment , search youtube "stem cell iran" watch video please , and hopefully this will be available in uk soon
vitiligo screwed me up in a way. made me shy and crap. it was pretty bad for me like whole face in patches. and if u go into sun for a bit white patches become red. now vitiligo spread pretty much most of my body and its pretty kool. cause i am all 1 color now. i am pretty happy
i got it when i was 7 and now i am 12 so i had it all my life but now i am starting herbal china meds and its going away in 2 weeks. it is all over my body... like 75% of my body. i am also doing light therpy or a uv light machine.
I read a recent scientific study report that has identified a single gene that predisposes a person to vitiligo. And that an outbreak of vitiligo or Lupus can be from exposure to the chemical phenol (aka Phenols). This chemical is routinely put into cosmetics, insecticides, hair dyes, sun screens, etc. The chemical is produced from Benzene. This chemical is toxic to humans. Perhaps this kind of information will spurn tighter regulations on the use of phenols in products humans use on their body.

Hi, i want you to know this, to save much time and not to try many things who don`t help.
I also have Vitiligo, tried many things aand most don`t helps at all.
I tried "Xemodan", its new and it`s in my mind the best way against my Vitiligo.
It`s not very cheap but if someting help, it is ok...
You can get it on Einstein24,de
Try it and (if you like) make a "before/after" Video, in this way also other will know about Xemodan and it is a good thing for all of us!
