I can't think of a song that better encapsulates 2000-20010 better than this song. All the anger, the sadness, the disappointment of a lost opportunity. Genius. Read Thompson's Kingdom of Fear alongside it.

When this song was released in '05 it pretty much mirrored my views on the American Dream at the moment. Bush had just been re-elected and everything was prime to go to hell in a hand-basket.
