im sorry, how many GSL championships has MMA won? One...... How many has Mvp won? 3. So what if MMA wins one game, all players have there ups and downs, personally i think Mvp is better.
@gy660528 MVP is an amazing player and so is MMA but the truth is it's not about there past when talking about current skill it's about the present and MVP and MVP have been the dominating forces in tournaments, MMA has pulled better results.
@Guitar5hit MMA just won blizzcup and knocked out mvp with a 3-0 (horrible games) and... he won GSL october again against mvp and imo atleast... mvp wasnt playing his best whereas mma was playing really well. Besides that MMA hasnt really won anything else... except 1 MLG aswell.. dont remember whcih one and MVP has won 2 GSLs, GSL WC, 1 MLG, WCG and blizzcon
Remember that MVP had to go over the blizzcon tournament that day, lots of hard games, while MMA had only the finals, thats why MVP wasnt 100%, if not im sure that those series would have been closer, not sure if MVP would have won them, but that finals were very poor, I wasnt really expecting cheese in the GSL finals, koreans are supposed to be the best at standard matches, for me MMA, is like a bronze player with huge micro.
@adrianbv1993 Koreans are considered to be the best at creative plays, many people say the reason korean server seems harder than other servers is because there is so many different types of cheesing and 1/2 base all ins. and in no way is MMA a bronze player if you have seen any of his macro games you know how good he really is
I don't like watching MMA, I always get this weird feeling that I'm watching someone with good mechanics play a strategy that someone else told them about. This shows especially well when he loses, because the guy just falls apart so badly when things don't seem to go as planned : \
MMA was better prepared and knew Mvp's style. I think Mvp underestimated MMA a bit. Still, they're the top 2 Terrans in the world (Bomber coming a close 3rd IMO).

MMA said at the start, that he would either win 4-1 or 4-3. He had the whole series mapped out and he in fact got 4-1. One of the best GSLs ever for sure.
@kentliu MVP was playing very poorly in those finals. I don't know why you would think otherwise - those do not showcase him coming close to his potential. Similarly, GSL finalists ALWAYS say they're going to win 4-x. You should try actually watching the GSL sometime.
@Octavaryum FYI I was at blizzcon, watched it live. I also watched 90%+ of all GSL games. Yes, everyone makes a prediction on winning 4-x, but no one else has made a prediction of 2 possible scores. That with the cheeses MMA threw in the series lead an intelligent analyst to guess that the sets were CAREFULLY planned.

@kentliu on the pro code s level, no one is "better" than another person, MMA beats MVP sometimes and MVP beats MMA sometimes, if there was a certain level of skill, then ___ would win every tourney they are in, just because theyre better, and that doesnt happen, now you can say that about say gold vs diamond players, diamond players are almost always gonna win, maybe 99% of the time, just because they are better, there is a knowledge and skill gap there

I believe that they are the 2 best Terrans in the world. Just like Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier for boxing.
MMA can beat MVP any day anytime but that doesn't make him necessarily better. MVP and MMA have both accomplished so much.
